The bad:Chris' neice called to say that Chris' Mom was ill and was going to emergency via ambulance (still not sure what's going on). Then I get a call from a dear friend who has been diagnosed with liver and bone cancer and, while she was telling me this, there was a drunk man loudly ranting in Spanish on the corner of our street. (Plus, yesterday I spent some time in a hospital visiting another friend.) Wacky. Make it stop.

Well, sending nothing but good vibes to you and Chris and Chris's Mom. Please keep us posted {{{hugs and good vibes}}}}

Crap, NA! I hope your MIL is alright, and I'm sending some virtual hugs as well.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. There's a lot of stuff going on - a mixture of medications, high blood pressure, an apparent transient ischemic attack, high potassium levels, kidney function in question.......it is making a diagnosis difficult. I'm glad they admitted her and a keeping her overnight at least.

Funny, I'd rather be goosed by a Bittern.

That's what they're telling me is the problem. But no, I didn't because the woman in the store didn't mention it and the manual doesn't say a word about that either. And I've read every mention of batteries and battery life I could find.

So I went to the Long Beach Sprint store and they said I was lucky I had insurance because I could drive to the Downey store where they actually have the repair services. So because I was actually going to be in that area anyway I went over there where they gave me the diagnosis. So now the phone is off and charging for 24 hours. And even though I make very few calls I feel very strange being without a phone for two full days.

So... After the obligatory familial brunch today, we all drove out to BFE-Riverside to see my nephew's new mcmansion. (Their master closet is larger than our bedroom.) As we were driving along a particularly lovely (I thought I was back in Fresno!) stretch of Van Buren, we spotted a place that advertised itself as a Christian tattoo parlor.... :confused:
