While visiting my MIL in the hospital today I walked past the "Anesthesia Lounge". I thought about dropping in for a "cocktail" but I decided it was best to visit my MIL and remember it.

She's doing much better, BTW. She's bored. That's a good sign. Hopefully she'll get to to home tomorrow.

Apparently there is a new fad of christians getting inked. Personally, I don't understand it. Your body is the temple of God and all. However, Solomons temple had ornimintaion, so whats a little tastefull ink I suppose. Anyway, to each his own....

I hope all is well with Chris's mom, Lisa. And everyone else you know. Stay strong, and don't forget to take care of yourself.

I'm not sure I remember all the times I visited her. That was part of her charm. Glad to hear she's doing better.

I hate Mondays. The vending machine company hasn’t paid a visit to our office in over two weeks. The soda machine is now empty; and, right now, I’d sacrifice a small cuddly animal for a Coke. The snack machine is nearly full, but since it hasn’t been working for the last week, it just sits there – tempting us with the forbidden snacky goodness inside.

And today, everyone has decided to bring all their problem cases to me for help. Don’t they realize how dangerous that is when I’m hungry and Cokeless (and trying to deal with my own work)? Go away people!

I hate Mondays.

cerrrack....pop! Fiiiiizzzzzzzz....

What was that JWB? I couldn't hear you over the noise of my Coke can opening.

Seriously, though I can empathize. Do not approach me with complications before I've had my daily fix!

I have to admit that I've been spoiled by Mexican Coca-Cola. It used to be just the local taquerias that stocked the stuff, but now those glass bottles of sugary goodness are turning up all over the city. On Saturday, Heather and I were strolling around Hayes Valley and popped into Fritz for a couple of cones of fries (she had the kalamata ketchup, I got the balsamic mayo), and I was delighted to spy the coke bottles in their cooler. A perfect afternoon snack.

They better sell the stuff in LA (I'd be surprised if they didn't).

[shameless begging ahead]

Anyone have a contact at the Greek? There is a concert I desperately need tickets to. I'll pay for them. I just can't swing the $150 for back row bench seats on StubHub.

Do you like it because of the glass bottles, or the sugar cane sweetner?

Morrigoon 05-14-2007 10:43 AM

Yeah, sugar-sweetened Coke is awesome, you can get that in Hawaii (or at least used to be able to). Corn Syrup is evil, and not in the good way.

JWB: I have Coke issues at work too, because they finally filled it but did it wrong so the machine still won't dispense it. I gave up and brought in a 12-pack that sits behind my desk.

I have Mexican Coke every time I eat lunch at the place across the street, but I really don't taste any difference.

BTD, I know somebody who works at a ticket agency. Say what concert and I'll ask if she has anything.
