I don't usually attend these early showings but my kids do. This time, I just might go....when we stop by with drinks, snacks, jackets, they all seem to be having such fun.

One of the reasons why I have been hooked on PDA style phones (currently the T-Mobile MDA). The info is always backed up. Sure, I spend more, but it's worth it!

Why does Vista (on a brand-new, dual core machine) consistently need a day and a half to decompress a file?!? It's only 2 GB! What is with the 17 bytes (yes - BYTES, not KB!) per second?

Oh hey, my contacts weren't deleted! Yay! There was just a page of bogus blank entries at the top of the list. Piece of crap is still not saving new info, but at least the old info is there and I can write it down before I try to wipe this thing.

Why does this day keep getting weirder and weirder.

And when, oh when, will people learn that they need to take responsibility for themselves and learn to make their own decisions with their lives? What inevitably happens is I end up "taking care" of their "problem" - leaving me with a burden, and for them a lesson unlearned.

I've become better about drawing lines and saying no, but damn it - why must I still be tested?
