That was your first concert? Where have you been? He just did that in the '90's. But was it cool? Did he give you chills when he hit those powerful notes and lyrics??

Wow, I sure got here late!

My first concert was in '69 at the Hollywood Bowl to see...get this....The Fifth Dimension and Blood, Sweat and Tears. I do vaguely remember it but not as much as I would like to have.

First concert of choice was to see Rush. I was 15 and the girl that went with me threw up on my leg after drinking wine. Good times, those were. :)

Yeah, I can see vomiting at a Rush concert. With or without alcohol.

 I was there and yes, it was in the Tacoma Dome! :) :) He was one sexy beast!! A group of us went with my friend's mom in her mini-van. She was cool enough to NOT go in. We had a motel room near the dome and she stayed in the room until we called her afterward. We checked into the hotel before the concert so we could Aqua Net our hair and apply fresh Wet N Wild make up.....so we could snare the unsuspecting sex god, George. Didn't work. Must have been the hairspray. ;)

Oh, you're right, I saw once concert before that: July 2nd.... 91 I think? It was the very first performance of The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra with John Mauceri. I still remember how he introduced himself: Mow as in mouse, chair as in what you stand on when you see a mouse, and Eeeee, what you say, while standing on a chair when you see a mouse.

That's actually a show I would like to have seen (and remembered).

Willy Nelson.

He sat on a stool and sang songs.

I drank too much coke and puked all over the lobby. Of course, as a kid, I didn't blame Coke. I blamed my first experience eating Chinese food earlier in the evening. It was years before I would touch the stuff again.

Ah, Willy, you Highway Man. Sing me a sad song about mental patients and dead deported Mexicans. I just love you so much. Even if all you do is sit on a stool. Might I suggest some dance moves, Willy? It's hard to keep a 6 year old interested when you just sit on a stool like that.

My parents took me to see the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra when I was much younger, but I doubt that counts.

Two years ago, I saw Pedro the Lion at the Troubadour. It was my first "real" concert, although I only went because some friends needed a ride. I haven't seen anything since.

Ok, not counting local philharmonics, school assemblies, and beginning band concerts, my first concert was Creedence Clearwater Revival. Iron Butterfly opened.

Yeah, baby.
