Cool Pictures, thanks!

But what's that got to do with Vegimite? ;)

Just teasing! :D

Only 10 times on the Dipper? Wow, lightweights ;)

Just kidding - I hate those Morgan trains to all hell, and they make things even worse by having an original lead car in the museum for the ride.

What's really fun to try the next time you ride that ride, is to see if you can scare the people at the Jack in the Box across the street (I can).

Just to get Coaster Geeky for CoasterMatt for a minute...

The lead car in the museum made me really sad that I wasn't riding the coaster "as it was" so to speak. The new cars are very narrow in the hip/butt region (having sub-divided seats) and I again had to be stapled in, owing to my (moderate, in my opinion) girth.

The original bench style seats looked red-leather-sexy, padded, luxurious and bouncy, and I would have loved to ride in one.

BTW: the ride was quite rogh front and back, but the dead middle of the car was quite a smooth ride.

BBTW: I totally pwn the Tilt-A-Whirl. Yes, I am the carriage spinning champ of the world on that ride. Ask Ponine & son.

BBBTW: I will start another thread for the Adventures of Us starting with the trip tomorrow up to Pismo. I may be on dial-up for that , so no pics.

What is this 'dial-up' you speak of?

Glad you are continuing to have fun- hi to Stoat from us!

*hee hee* I don't know what the Hubster is doing. Probably telling me my hair looked a fright {that is what happens when you wear a baseball cap most of the time}.

I only rode the coaster once. It was enough! For me.

I have to say, and my family agrees, these Aussies are the nicest and most fun fellows we have ever had the pleasure to meet. Positive spin all around and it sure is lifting to be around that attitude. Will surely miss them.

And, look what a nice thing they have done, brought together quite a few of us that may have not met otherwise.

I wanted to thank katiesue, Ponine & Son, and Capt. Jack for sharing their time with us. It was really fun. :snap:

Oh, Lashbear, the museum, I am glad you went inside {well, a store/museum}. I agree about the old car, it was a beaut. I am sure you saw the old pictures, from the opening in 1925 and then the reopening, dah, when it was. :D

I need to find info on when a local radiostation promised a car to whomever would stay on the coaster the longest. I can't remember how long it was in the end but it was a long time. I think it went so much longer than expected that they gave away more than one car.

{oh, and to make this thread relevant...Thanks for the Vegemite!! :D }

Hello Lash! Glad you're havibg a great time on the rest of your trip (minus the dial up of course!)

MouseWife 04-15-2007 02:22 PM

Not a great shot but the middle car holds katiesue and the Lashes.

I found this about the 'Whirl Till You Hurl' contests that were held at the Giant Dipper.

Whoa. No thanks!
