I've had other things come up. Also I was hoping to be moved by now and have access to my stuff - but I don't.

I'll try to stop by as I have a family thing nearby.

Oh, and Wolfy - mind if we bring the tables and EZ-up over the night before? We're gonna need all the room in the car for the stuff, and we're bringing 3-4 tables which will take up a lot of room.

Of course...I was expecting you to stop by Friday anyways....we need to put up signs (at least 3) on street corners.

List of things to bring (along with the stuff you want to sell, of course):

Plastic Grocery Bags
Newspaper if you have fragile things
Snacks to share
Tables if you have them
Shade thingys if you have them
Blankets if we don't have enough tables
Drinks (we'll have a cooler with ice)

Also a positive attitude....we're going to be able to retire after this;) .

You can pull me off the list. Apparently we're going to either LA or San Diego, so "later" isn't going to work.

I now have 3 visits to do before I head out to the sale. I'm either going to have to get up at the crack of dawn or come a little later to the sale. I wonder which it will be?

Another thing: a chair to park your butt on! Ken and I will bring a couple extra chairs in case anyone forgets, but I'd really like to have mine available anytime I want it. ;)

I'm trying to be ruthless in my choices for garage sale items. I've got LOTS of Disney artwork/posters/prints/etc that are probably worth more than a garage will bring for them but I've been meaning to sell them om ebay for about 4 years now. If I haven't done it yet, I'm probably not going to do it, so into the garage sale pile it goes. The sad part is that, I STILL have a lot more Disneyland stuff I'm NOT selling. I forgot m,y collection was so big.

wolfy999 08-14-2008 11:59 AM

Just might be buying each other's stuff by the sounds of it!

My mantra: No buy. Sell!

:D

Garage sales are funny things. In the past, just to get rid of stuff, I marked everything as "Free". Hardly anyone took anything.

The next time I tired marking stuff with higher prices and doing a discounted sale...
8:00-8:30am Marked price,
8:30-9:00am 25% off
9:00 - 9:30am 50%
9:30-10:00am 75% off
after 10:00am free.

It was like I set out a buffet for locusts. Almost everything was gone before 10:00am.
