One person on my LJ flist recently started posting Twitter updates. Based on my experience thus far... well, let's just say I didn't even bother clicking on this thread till today when I saw it had gone on for 3 pages. But I'm game, I'll give it another chance.

Do any of these social networking annoyances help you meet NEW people???


I don't need less expressive or useful ways to keep up with the people i already know (though cloning would be the biggest boon to my misteps in that area) ... but meeting new people would make some of this junk perhaps worthwhile.
