You really need to see PWBA at the Cemetery. It's a bajillion times better. And I loved the movie before seeing it there.

On the drive in to work this morning, on the side of 101 heading South, a gigantic Hummer, pulled over, hood up, owner trying to peer under the hood scratching his head. It made me smile.

Last night, I had dinner (taco night!) at my Dad & Stepmom's house. It was an awesome evening!

Anyhoodle, their neighbor is on vacation (Disney Cruise!) and my little brother offered to feed her cat and her bearded dragon. So, I went next door with my little brother and stepmom, and after playing with the adorable kitty (he looks just like Sylvester from Looney Tunes) I wandered over to the bearded dragon's glass case, curious.

Now, I love, love LOVE animals. Every single one of' em. I'm HUGE on animal rights and critters are my best pals. However, I'm scared of reptiles.

I should mention that their neighbor has told me Harrietta (the bearded dragon) is just the sweetest, most mellow, cuddliest dragon ever.

She was right. And now I'm in love.

I was so scared to touch her- her skin looked like it would prick me. However when I finally nervously touched her, I found her extremely soft & warm and the little spikes on her back weren't sharp at all! I couldn't stop thinking about her all night! She was so cute! She even looks like she's smiling! Golly, I just want to nuzzle her!! She likes to curl up on people and when you stroke her skin, she just closes her little eyes and goes to sleep.

My question is this- Kevy (or anybody else who might know) are all bearded dragons this friendly & awesome?

For the most part, yes. There will of course always be exceptions, but generally speaking, Beardies are very friendly - they are considered to be the most personable of all the reptiles.

I regularly take ours out with me (one at a time - they ride on my shoulder) as I run errands, sometimes for 3 or 4 hours at a time. Often times, after being out for a while, they will get sleepy and nuzzle their nose up to my neck and take a nap.

We currently have twelve Beardies and I got my first one about 3-1/2 years ago. In all that time, I have only been bit once and that was by a Beardie we got at a Petsmart. When they first took him out of his cage (which was WAY too small), he chomped down on my finger. I didn't flinch (it didn't hurt) and he finally let go. He has turned out to be one of our best-tempered Dragons (Gratch is his name).

If you are interested in getting a Beardie (or two), I would be happy to give them to you. You would need to supply your own terrarium and supplies (which can easily be found on Craig's List). Just let me know. I have a couple of clutches due to hatch in a couple of months or I have a couple of adults right now that are less than a year old.

Aw, thank you Kevy!!

I'm currently staying at my Grandma's and we're in the process of selling our house, so I'm not allowed to have a pet right now, but in the future I'd be interested!

Aww! Do you have pictures of your beardies? I love that they nuzzle your neck!! :) :snap:
