I dunno, I think those look goofier than the sandals

cirquelover 01-21-2009 02:36 PM

I'm still giggling. I'm glad you found a pair of shoes to get you through your meeting.

Great shot of the sandal feet and rather sorry to see them go as they made me giggle and then giggle again with every post I read that said the same.

But hey - you got a new pair of shoes. That's hardly ever a Bad Thing.

Does that include sandals, slippers, or soccer cleats?

When you say slippers do you mean like what you wear before bed or what Hawaii means when they say slippers?

Cleats definitely get exempted (unless you just wear them for walking around). Sandals probably don't get exempted unless you are say using them mostly for hiking or walking on the hot sand to your beach volleyball games.

Eh, they're the cheapest shoes Target had, they look only passably good, and don't really fit all that well. I'll probably not wear them again, more than likely I'll just go donate them.

By slippers I mean fuzzy around the house things that I literally never wear.

The sandals I use almost solely as something to quickly throw on to bring the trash out or get the mail, very rare that I wear them out as they are awful.

I also have one pair of sneakers that's exclusively my housework pair, never see anything beyond the back patio.

So in terms of actual shoes that I wear out with any sort of regularity, these would be the 4th pair. And I'm not planning on ever wearing these again.

When I worked for SBC we had NO dress code. I wore slippers to work on more than one occasion. I used to have fuzzy, plush, mouse slippers.

The Enforcers will be checking in within 30 calendar days to ensure that any excess pairs have been removed from the premises. If they have not, random pairs will be selected until compliance is achieved.

You can't fool me, you just PhotoShopped new shoes onto your existing feet!

Alex 01-21-2009 02:55 PM

I could probably wear shorts and t-shirt here and nobody would care. But I find that if I dress too down it kind of impacts my work mindset.

I just feel more professional if I am dressed up to a certain minimum standard. Though that has included jeans at times, it has been months since I've worn them in (and it would certainly be fine if I did).
