You have to admit that interest in hockey is extremely low and Anaheim is not a destination that generates any additional interest outside of the region.

The comment is right as far as NBC concerned, this is as bad as if Milwaukee and Kansas City were in the World Series.

Either game 4 or 5 they cut out at OT to cover the Preakness. Coverage continues on Versus (a station hardly anyone gets).

Meh, it just doesn't seem kind of LA Times.

Then again, this is the sort of publicity that gets people to sit up and notice... and perhaps rally together. I keep thinking about the iGasm lawsuit (yeah, like it has anything to do with this, right?). Without that lawsuit, it's unlikely I'd have ever heard about it, and now... I'm interested. Perhaps this will increase local awareness and some semblance of local pride.

Funny you should mention this... Management said that they are going to install a temporary air conditioning system until the main unit can be replaced. Someone suggested that it will be a block of ice and a big fan. Great minds think alike.
