Umm, I hope those are tears of laughter 'cause I meant my post as pure humor.

I feel like I'm invisible. A square peg who wishes she could find a square hole. I'm exhausted from trying to squeeze into the round one.

I'm sure nobody can relate to what I'm trying to convey. I'm not sure even I can anymore. Why I'm choosing to express this in an open forum..I have no idea.It must be the biggest scream for help.

Different from who? What constitutes someone as being a "somebody"? Are your goals for yourself unattainable? Should you cut yourself some slack?
Heck, I ask myself this stuff all the time. Your answers might fill you in on what you're feeling...
To me everyone's someone.
I'm also wondering if you were classified as the prettiest girl in the world, would you believe it?
And you're definitely not invisible.
Or is this all because you didn't eat lunch and your blood sugar's low? That happens to me sometimes.

Oh, Ally...

Do I have to call Dr. Roni?

You can't be invisible. That would mean I've needlessly spent a fortune recently at Sephora on your recommendations (which were great by the way) not to mention the .99 cents you owe me because I felt the need to download "Two of Hearts" from iTunes.

Ally, you are our very own glittery, Hello-Kitty lovin' angel with a potty mouth, and the place wouldn't be the same without you! What would you like to change your name too? Personally, I was leaning toward 'Loretta', but I didn't want to piss NA off.;)

We wuv you, Ally.:babette:

The change from my name to one of my standard internet monikers would be too weird at this late stage but I figured I could at least get my last name out of there.

One interesting aside: it still lists "Alex Stroup" as the author on your quotes.

ETA: Well, actually, I see it both ways. With. Without (last name).

That's because it stores that as text data, rather than pulling up the "username" variable. If he cares (and I doubt he does) I can go through and fix that.

I'm picking my jaw off of the floor here. I just found out that one of my friends who I haven't seen since college became a total heroin addict and is in rehab. I'm just floored. He was one of those shining star kind of guys, an actor... And he fell apart a couple of years ago after a break up with his girlfriend. He's in rehab after falling off the wagon twice. I hear he's doing well this time around.
I'm stunned.

I wonder how the one quote got changed (it was posted in January)?

Not a biggie, I am just curious. One possible scenario is that the person who posted it (Alex himself - isn't it considered gauche to quote yourself? ;) ) manually entered it and only put his first name in.

And why am I spending so much time on this?!?

Alex 06-06-2007 06:09 PM

1. I didn't quote myself. That was an original composition delivered directly to the quote function.

2. It always said "Alex" as the author since that is a freeform field and that is how I entered it (the submitter name is drawn from the userID database so that did update).

3. I don't know why.
