2005 Race for the Cure - Support me if you can

As many of you know, I battled breast cancer last year. I was luckier than most and caught it early and have fully recovered. As A Cancer Survivor, I am participating in the 2005 Race for the Cure on September 25th. If you would like to support me and make a donation to the cause, you may do so at this site:

Thank you in advance for your support.

Lisa

Actually I did not know that. I'm very glad you are doing well. I'd expect it's due to the healing powers of Dole Whip’s!

Your request also brings up an interesting point. How are other worthy charities doing in the wake of Katrina? I know that Jerry's kids received about $5,000,000 less than last year. Are others feeling the squeeze?

I don't know if I've read anything about that in regards to the Koeman foundation. Kartina is certainly a more urgent need - breast cancer will continue to plague men and women for a long time, I'm sure. You just do what you can.

This is my way of giving back to the disease that effected me personally. Both my Mother and I had it and, thanks to early detection, mine was caught VERY early and therefore my treatment was fairly mild (no chemo required, only radiation and surgery). I'm all about early detection.

No, no, no. This is your way of taking away from the disease that affected you personally.

Wow! Naturally, I had no idea, and I am so glad you are a full recovery patient!

 to you for giving back!

I'll be there too. In addition to the many survivors I work with, I will walk in honor of my sister-in-law!

Everyone's support has be great so far. I've never actually participated in a walk that was for something that effected me so personally. It's pretty meaningful and wonderful that friends are helping out. So cool!

Thanks to all of you who have pledged so far. I am walking this weekend whether my feet want me to or not.
