Corn Dogs

So,

Who likes 'em, who secretly eats them without telling others, and are all the corn dog outlets still open at DL at the moment ?

...I still think they're the swankest of all Theme Park snacks.

:)

Hey, I had one for lunch! Interesting to eat when your mouth is all numbed up with novacain. Not a ginormous Park one, but it was still okay.

Waaaahhh. I want one.

I was planning on getting a corn dog at DCA on the last day of my trip out at DL. Unfortunately, those plans were ripped assunder when I had to cancel my last day plans in order to try to get an earlier flight to try to beat Hurricane Francis to my house. Sadly, I did not get to eat a corn dog when I was out in California. Maybe this year.

The last time I had a corn dog from DCA I had, um, "digestive difficulties." I don't eat those anymore.

I must take part of the blame for the lack of corn dog on HTH's vacation. I am the one who called him up on the phone from Orlando and said, "Hey, the airports might be closing soon, so you better get to the airport now and see if you can get an early flight." He took my advice, and spent 9 plus hour at LAX that he could have been spending in DL. Sorry, man.

By the way, I once wrote a song about corn dogs because I used to love them so much. I don't eat a lot of deep fried stuff these days, but corn dogs do bring back lotsa memories. Anyhow, the song (composed when I was about six or seven) went something like this:

Corny corny corn dog, jumping down the stairs
Corny corny corn dog, you're the answer to my prayers

Those were the only lyrics, repeated endlessly as I bounced around flailing my arms.

Hmmm, now I want a corn dog.

flippyshark is just overflowing with talent. :D

I have this weird relationship with corn dogs. I kinda like 'em. I'm not in love with the corn part, and I always think there's way too much of it. So whenever I get one I end up discarding about half the corn stuff. I do enjoy the other half with the dog though. Maybe I should make my own homemade ones so they won't have so much corn? It's not often I get one, especially in public, since it's so embarrassing tearing off the coating.

I can only eat about 3/4 of a Disneyland corndog. Trust me, I've got a decent appetite, but there comes that point of "too much of this flavor'" with the corndogs at the park. Not exactly low carb, either.
I do like a good hot dog, though. Bunless, of course.

P.S. Stan4dSteph, I think corn gives a lot of people "digestive issues."

Why am I hearing Carol Channing in my head?

Could be, although my theory is it had something to do with the massive amount of grease I ingested. Ick.

Gn2Dlnd 01-19-2005 09:57 PM

Yep, they're greasy.
