Been there, done that. Two sons as well.

You would have to be strong to help mold these young people of ours.

VERY difficult at times. Not cut and dry, emotions always change up the equation.

One of the biggest things is realizing we are all different. We can all take a situation quite differently. As a parent, it is an eye opener when you first realize your kids don't just say 'Wow, you're right'. {and this happened many years ago......}

Stay strong!!! LIVESTRONG! :D

I just checked, I'm afraid your power is waning. :(

The Lovely Mrs. tod 10-14-2009 07:49 PM

The younger of my two boys is 6'9". At age 19.

Now THAT'S girl power!

Not Afraid 10-14-2009 08:22 PM

I can clean out the cat box, fry it up in a pan, and never ever let you forget you're a man......

I love this thread. :cheers:

If it weren't for Grrrrrrrl Power, our house would not exist. Well, it would, but it wouldn't be pretty. I am also raising a Grrrrrrrl who is navigating the treacherous waters of adolescence remarkably well, although I am well aware that could change in a teenage second. (Approximately 1/10 the time of an adult second, unless you've asked them to do something- then it's several hours.... or days.)

Grrrrrrrl power solar charging!

I only recently discovered she went to Stanford, graduated 2 years ahead of me. Pretty cool.

alphabassettgrrl 10-17-2009 09:51 PM

I don't think I've ever loved Rachel Maddow more than during the Tim Phillips interview.

Love this thread!
