3 Nights Only! The return of a show you might "Remember"!

Worth a trip to the park this weekend? I should say so!

mousepod 11-04-2009 01:31 PM

Good to know! We'll be there on Saturday (with our 4-year-old niece).

SzczerbiakManiac 11-04-2009 01:32 PM

Huh? Please elaborate.

BarTopDancer 11-04-2009 01:32 PM

AHHHHHHHH. I'll have to try and go Friday.

Do they have extra shells laying around or something?

innerSpaceman 11-04-2009 01:35 PM

What? Huh?

Morrigoon 11-04-2009 02:04 PM

Yeah, to bridge the gap between here and Christmas :)

innerSpaceman 11-04-2009 02:49 PM

Bah, I'm booked all weekend.

Let me take a stab.

Disneyland, once a bucolic orange grove in the German-settled burg of Anaheim, California, is running "Remember," a much beloved fireworks show, known for its signature "E-Ticket in the Sky" format, so-named for the ubiquitous ticket books the world famous vacation destination used to sell as admission media to its many and varied theme park attractions, this weekend.

innerSpaceman 11-05-2009 08:33 AM

Does Believe in Holiday Magic start the following weekend then?

wolfy999 11-05-2009 08:34 AM

They are thinking of doing it for 2 weekends, but no guarantee yet.

innerSpaceman 11-05-2009 08:37 AM

oooh, that would be sweet. This weekend's just impossible for me, unless I go down there Friday night ... highly doubtful.

If you miss it, you should be able to catch it again in sometime between January and May:

Quote:

...You have a brief opportunity to catch the "Remember...Dreams Come True" fireworks show this weekend, when the show returns for a very limited run November 6-8 at 9:25 pm. MousePlanet reader cstephens posted to our MousePad discussion board that a Disneyland pyrotechnics cast member told her Disneyland will present four different shows in 2010: "Remember...Dreams Come True" from January through May, followed by "Magical" during the return of the Summer Nightastic promotion June through September. "Halloween Screams" will return for the HalloweenTime promotion, with "Believe...In Holiday Magic" closing out the holiday season.

Too bad they didn't see fit to restore the Frontierland segment, if it's going to be such a limited run. I'm not at all sure what it is about that segment that's so unworkable. If it's the little explosions on the Castle as the projected ducks are "hit," just leave that particular pyro out. Sheesh.

It was funny though. My friend Val scored really good viewing front and center in the street at the Castle. I haven't seen Remember from there for years. My other friend Laurie had no idea why we were camping out for fireworks until she overheard some people talk about it being Remember. She was so happy. But it made me wonder why she didn't ask why on earth we were camping out for, ya know, Magical or Believe or whatever she thought it was going to be.

I would have loved to have seen the look on her Face if Remember had started without her even knowing about the limited "revival."

And, haha, these fireworks show names are more lame than Disneyland Hotel buildings or cruise ships!

RStar 11-14-2009 10:19 PM

What was the name of the first show?

Can anyone name them all?

Gemini Cricket 11-14-2009 10:40 PM

Rumor has it that they did 'Remember' tonight at DL and the narration talked about it being DL's 50th anniversary.
lol
:D

I'm pretty sure that before Believe and the spate of differently-identified shows that followed, all iterations of the Disneyland fireworks from '59 forward were called "Fantasy in the Sky."
