V

The Premier episode of V aired last night.

I was otherwise engaged, did anyone watch? I know there was some buzz about it here at one point.

I LOVE it!!

Saw the first episode at Comic-Con and have been anticipating more ever since.

I think the character development is awesome, and the plot twists are just incredible. They're really done justice in redoing the original concept.

I feel like I'm 12 years old again. :)

I'm going to be foxy and watch V on ABC online this Saturday. :D

PS: DP - I feel like I'm 20 again....

We DVRed it... looking forward to watching tonite!! I loved the original two miniseries (except for the end of the second one, which had this ridiculous deus ex machina).

Ya know we could end this entire debate if you just watched it live.

Let's see it's on Tuesdays at 8:00pm.... That would be what about noon on Wednesday for you? Just watch it then.

lashbear 11-04-2009 08:36 PM

They have it live online ?

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 11-04-2009 08:37 PM

Eh. It wasn't awful but it wasn't rad. They are making an effort to deliver new characters and plot twists so that we're not just watching a version of the 80s mini-series with better special effects. But it's just kind of...eh. It's a barely different spin on a tired alien invasion plot and after something as fun and innovate and horrifying as District 9, I'm just not sure I can stay interested in this, another slice of same old, same old.

I do like the cast and I'll probably give it a few episodes, but I can see myself losing interest quickly.

We missed the episode, but want to see it. Did not see the original 80's mini-series. We are going to catch the pilot online this weekend (hopefully) and we have a season pass on our TiVo for the rest of the season.

You mean you can't watch live USA TV from where you are?

Huh. To bad there's not something to be done about that....

RStar 11-05-2009 11:33 AM

I wasn't thrilled with it, but it's a little early to tell yet. I'll give it a few more shows to see how I like it.

Oh, and I think this is in the top 10 for shortest thread title. ;) :snap:

Isn't there a way to hook up a tuner to a server? ;)

lashbear 11-05-2009 04:49 PM

DP: I serve tuna as often as I can.

I'll find it interesting to see when V comes onto aussie Television. I'm guessing about 3-6 months.
