What's the deal with the little asterisked titles?

mousepod 04-12-2005 04:55 PM

This is a perfect example of Disney doing the right thing for its fans. Remastered tracks! A hardcover book! Limited edition vinyl (with the first 5000 copies)!

Sign me up!

(and I'm supposed to be saving my money. crap.)

Lost Boy 04-12-2005 09:25 PM

It's nice that they are also including some of the old, no longer around, attractions. How fitting for a 50 year celebration. The folks that put this together must have had a look at the 13 disc set that Hitchiking Ghost put together that is only available by downloads from some secret site.

Money money money.......MONEY!

Yeah, I NEED this.

surfinmuse 04-13-2005 12:12 AM

How much is this set going to cost? The entire set isn't a limited-collection pressing is it? I won't be around from May - July 2005, but it'll be nice to know I can walk into a store and purchase these post July 2005.

mousepod 04-13-2005 12:36 AM

$125 for the box with the book.

surfinmuse 04-13-2005 12:57 AM

So roughly $15 per CD plus the book. Thanks for the price info, mousepod!

PS. when are you shooting for show #10?

Flubber 04-13-2005 09:17 AM

It says without going that I'll be buying this set.

Baileykat 04-13-2005 09:36 AM

Of course I'll be buying this set! (I got teary eyed just reading the list! )

cirquelover 04-13-2005 11:37 AM

Wow, that sounds like an amazing cd collection. Add one more thing I need to buy.

I could drive my husband crazy listening to this on the long drive home from California!

Cool Steph! I just called Disney Direct...sold out.

mousepod 04-26-2005 11:03 AM

Just ordered at Disney Direct website. Says "will ship in 4 weeks". Still offering the free vinyl. Not bad.

Did you try the website? Mousepod posted after you and it looks like he ordered it. Weirdness.

I read your post and went to the website, ordered without any problems. Guess the super helpful castmember on the phone wasn't sure of what she was telling me or another case of the right glove not knowing what the left glove was doing.

Matterhorn Fan 04-26-2005 03:47 PM

Will this be sold in Florida?

€uroMeinke 04-26-2005 06:13 PM

I got mine - had to hit refresh a couple times when I got the message that it was unavailable, but the site ultimately relented and allowed me to add it to my cart. Refresh is your friend.

Yes. It will be sold at both parks, but the limited edition with gold vinyl is only 5000 copies, so if you really want that, I would suggest ordering online to be sure.

Stan4dSteph 04-30-2005 11:30 AM

Just got my set! I'm so excited! It's very cool. I think I'll leave the vinyl sealed for now. I'm uploading the CDs to my iTunes now. :D

From what I've listened to so far, the asterisked titles are incorporated into other tracks. For example, at the end of Meet on Main St. you hear a sound of a Main St. vehicle.

OMG the Matterhorn track totally ROCKS.

Gn2Dlnd 04-30-2005 01:14 PM

I need this.

Yes, I know the difference between want and need.

A lot of hard work went into this set. It's very much worth it, especially with the cool book that's included in the set.
