There was a 6.0 off the coast of Northern Cali today at 3:20pm est

The USGS notified me via email at: 3:49pm

CNN Tweeted me about it at: 3:52pm

Quakeinfo tweeted at: 3:35pm

The first to feel and tweet was Caksf at: 3:25pm

God I love the Information Age.

Caksf felt the quake 55 minutes before it happened? Twitter is pretty cool.

No. Five min after. Or at least that's when the tweet was.

3:25 isn't 55 minutes before 3:20. It's 5 minutes after.

6.0 isn't small.

Compared to some it is.

And I swear when I posted the OP said the first tweet was at 2:25. But it may be tied into my calendrical retardation.

Knowing the OP'er, it is entirely possible that he made a change. He is know to do things like that.

Actually, I think the "Edited" message is strictly a function of time: it only shows up if you edit like (guess on time) 10 minutes after the original post.

The earthquake must have been small because the next tweet from CNN was, "... eating cereal."
