Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Eruption Pictures
|
And for those who are interested, here's how to pronounce it.
|
I haven't looked yet, but I'm pretty sure it is prounounced "the Iceland volcano." And should the bigger one go off it is pronouned "the other Iceland volcano."
|
"Mordor"

The lightning ones are my favorites. Thanks for the links.
|
Awesome!
While I know this eruption has caused upset and inconvenience for many people, I'm actually in awe over the power of nature, and have been somewhat enjoying seeing the earth spew. :) |
Wow. The lightning ones and the empty airport really are dramatic.
|
Not to take away from the volcano shots, but have you seen the amazing new images of the Sun?
|
I cant decide whick scares me more on those sites, the pictures or the commentary
neat pics in any case. |
Some of the comments are ridiculously stupid.
"The earth is angry." or "God is angry." or "This is a result of our inaction to the damage we've caused on the planet." Um, no. How about "The earth is the earth and doing what it's supposed to. It's nature." But, no.... I see mostly "doomsday" type comments. Dumb, dumb. |
Extraordinary pics!
Wow! :) |

Didn't watch the videos, but the still-shots they show of the sun are gorgeous!

ok, those are cool.
(wow...we're really small) |
I forget what the relationship is between erupting volcanoes and lightning. Something to do with the ash in the air, I suppose.
Oh, here it is |
Cool! Love the northern lights above the volcano.
Thanks for the link about how lightning works in the ash cloud. |
Holy crap! It's Falkor!
![]() ![]() I don't remember him shooting lightning from his nose, though... This must be the Neverending Eruption! :D |
