I've been sending spam
I experienced an account takeover of my Gmail account today. I've changed passwords and hopefully that'll put a stop to it.
If you received an email from me with a link to bailejokava.chat.ru please ignore it. However, let me know if you receive any additional emails. |
Similar thing happened to me on May 5th but with a link to a tripod site.
|
Well, I was tempted to buy some of that Canadian viagra, since it was recommended by you ... but I seriously don't need it (yet).
Thanks anyways, Alex. (Really, thanks for the explanation, 'cause I was like  ) |
I've been snubbed.
|
Apparently it did not make it through my entire contact list.
|
I had a similar thing happen in my Yahoo mail a couple years ago. And after it sent out the spam it deleted my entire contact list. Fortunately no other damage.
A couple weeks ago the same thing happened to my wife's Yahoo mail. But it didn't delete her contacts. |
I'm lucky in that they didn't change my password so I didn't have to deal with getting Google to deal with it.
So this finally got me off my butt to go around changing my passwords to something stronger and to not be using the same password in so many places. Now I'll never be able to log into anything again if my phone isn't with me. |
Google locked my account, but it was painless to get the password reset. It looks like the spam only made it through the "A" portion before Google locked it out. I gotta work on those passwords.
|
Me no likey Spam. Too salty.
|
How unsavory of you.
|
Then again, can one really savor hog anus without puking?
|
I guess I'll wait till disaster strikes. I've gone from having three passwords to one for everywhere, and it's not particularly strong. Since I have to remember my passwords, it defeats the purpose if I can't. Sorry if that makes me unsafe, because it also allows me to access my stuff.

I wish there were computer viruses that would automatically send me bacon.

:D I don't like Loco Mocos either or Vienna Sausage... And I very rarely eat pineapple... |
If I lived in Hawaii I'd probably OD on pineapple...

No, I think they're made there but they're only sold in ABC Stores and at the Honolulu Airport so that people can take them back to work in the universal "neener neener".

Alex: Yep! Total neener neenerage. But if tourists were really smart, they'd buy them at Long's where it's waaaay cheaper. :) |
Awww Hawaii. Amused by the ABC stores next door to the ABC stores, getting locked out on the patio of our hotel room, chased by pimps and a blistering sun burn. Good times.
|
Here's what I love about ABC Stores:
In Hawaii for the most part no local goes into one. But put an ABC Store on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and it is full of Hawaii people. |
For them ignorant masses (like me); what is an ABC store?
|
It is a tourist oriented chain of convenience stores in Hawaii (and now also, to a certain extent in locations Hawaiians go to be tourists). It seems like there are about 50 of them in Waikiki (which is not a very large area).

So, an ABC store is akin to a 7-11?
|
Think more like the convenience stores in the hotels across the street from Disneyland (though generally considerably bigger). Yes, some food and sundries, but also a lot of tourist crap.
|
Yes, and there are ABC stores literally next door to ABC stores.
I think there is an ABC store at Harbor and Katella. I swear I've seen one near Disneyland. |
And their beach towels will take a layer of skin off your arms if you dry off with one of them.
