Our little town is getting ready for the Strawberry Festival and I'm sure the carnival will look just like that!

I should take pics at some that I see setting up out here in Utah!

Awesome photos Matt!

At night, things get more fun (for me, anyway)

Great shots as always Matt.

Love it. Your thread title will remain misleading until you actually catch someone plummeting to their death on film.
lol!
:D

I love your pics. The camera is rad and the shot composition is exquisite.

I like that first night one- a ferris wheel? The lights and the old, fadedness of the center struck me. Gorgeous.

In my FFA days, I saw way too much of the set up process to ever be able to ride anything at a carnival.

I am amused by the missing letter on one ride: HUR ICANE

That shot was just for you, Kevy.

Several Years ago I was at the Washington County Fair(Beaverton, OR) to see Weird Al.....before the concert I decided to take a young cousin of mine on some ferris wheel type attraction(don't remember what it was called ..dive bomber maybe??).

Anyway, just as we are almost to the front of the line the operator notices something on the ground(looks like a fairly big bolt), holding the bolt up he looks up at the ride and points his finger, first at one car, then the next, and then the next, until he see's -something-.....he then gets on the loud-speaker and tells everyone in line the ride is closed.

Nothing happened, but that was the last time I ever queued up for a portable carnival ride.
