Not that anyone cares, but Toy Story Mania switched over last weekend with a couple of new elements related to the upcoming Toy Story 3 movie. Only one game is completely changed - what was Bo Peep's balloon pop is now
Dino Balloons.

Disney Dining is taking reservations for reserved seating for World of Color. You don't have to pay anything up front. You reserve a seating at Trattoria or Ariel's and after you pay you receive a ticket for the seating area.

Also, Silly Symphony Swings opened today.

That's awesome. I was hoping that the games would change. It seemed like a simple thing to do. Cool!

Does SSS have the music that went with the cartoon, I wonder?

That's not a bad way to go for reserved seating. People are likely to be paying for dinner, so it doesn't require a huge premium to get into the reserved seating, just some forethought.

Right. Details on package pricing and food options here. Adults are about $40/person and the menus are fixed price.

At DLR the Fantasmic reserved seating is a bit off to the side but as long as you sign in early, it's not bad at all.

At WDW the Fantasmic reserved seating is in the corner section and I was not very impressed with the view.

OKay, I take it back, that is about a 2-3x premium over a normal dinner cost. But still better than having to pay for dessert when you may not have otherwise wanted dessert. Much greater odds of people wanting dinner in the first place.

Is there a weight limit?

Wonder if the concierge at the Disneyland Hotel will be able to snag some "tickets" to see WoC. Hmmm. (Of course, I'm not gonna be available to see it either of the nights of my stay, but still - a perk's a perk.)

I'm pretty sure the physical part of the ride is the same as before, so I'm sure it hasn't changed. But I don't know if it had a limit before....

As long as you are willing to, I guess, but expect at least an hour.

It did, and it wasn't all that high either.

For a one time shot, guaranteed seats and avoiding the mass crush of people I'll gladly pay the $40 for dinner. Hell, I'd probably pay the $40 just for the damn seat after discovering mass crushes of people like the ones going from Main St. after fireworks to Fantasmic give me panic attacks. :(

I like the plan of seeing it, all crushed together, from Wendybeth and Scrooge's GVC balcony.

(a side note: I nixed throwing my party at the Mount Whitney Suite in the Grand Cal because the GVC units now block the view of Paradise Pier from all their primo suites built to have that view. The Mt. Whitney runs $5K per night, so that's a pretty big detriment.)

Well, if it's the same equipment, which I think it is, then I'd assume it's the same limit. However, if they could lower it some if they wanted. So how do they keep this limit? Do they make you step on a scale, or just guess? And how do they deliver such a rejection "excuse me sir, you're to fat to ride"??? I'm right at the 200 mark (I run 199-201.5) so I would'nt know if I'd be called out. That would be embarassing. Not that I'd ever ride it anyway. It's a "throwup ride" to me. I've never stepped into a Tea Cup either, and never will...

$5K/ night? Yikes! And now they've blocked the view??? Anyway, seems to me it would be a pretty bad view of this show. You'd just see some pretty lights, and an occasional fuzzy figure. Anyone see any testing (with film) from one of the balconys to know?

No. You just have to be able to fit in the seat, lower the safety bar and fasten the clip. There are also tandem seats, where an adult can sit next to a child. There's a separate queue for those.

Apparently we have reservations for the dining thingy on the 11th. First show.

Apparently, Disney's California Adventure is now just Disney California Adventure...

I'll wait to see the reviews of the system but I'll totally pay not to hassle for a seat. We did the fantasmic one and it was totally worth it.

What seats for World of Color? They barely have enough room for standing.

Yes, apparently now it's a reservation for a WOC standing area, not a seating area. Disney change their minds every day. At least if you get a dining reservation you're not paying ahead so when the details are finally settled you could always cancel if you weren't happy with the situation.

They've also added a picnic option to the WOC reserved viewing choices. Here are some details. All meals are $14.99

The third option is FastPass. "The Fastpass machines at Grizzly River Run will be used each morning to issue tickets for World of Color; once those tickets run out, the machines will be converted back to distribute Fastpass tickets for Grizzly River Run."

Do people even read the articles? The posts after the article all asked questions that were answered in the body of the article. :rolleyes:

It will be interesting to see where the "seats" for the picnic, dinners, and fastpass all wind up. I'd be happy for $15 to have a spot saved and not have to show up at the park before opening to get a fast pass (or spend the higher dinner cost).

Unless you're doing the first couple shows, in which case you won't find out whether you've "won" a standing spot until after you've paid and you find out whether there are any passes left. We realize that we're taking a gamble going as early as we are, but honestly I don't understand why they're taking more dining reservations than they have space to accommodate. There are going to be some angry people who spend $40 on dinner and ended up with no passes.

The blog entry shows as having been edited overnight so it is possible (though I have no idea) that AVP edited the item to include the clarifications provided in the comments.
