Meet LuLu

I just bought a horse. Yes, me renown horse disliker. Her name is Illusion but we call her LuLu. And no I'm never riding her either. But Maddie loves her and for a horse she's not horrible :)

BarTopDancer 06-02-2010 09:59 PM

Congratulations!

Not Afraid 06-02-2010 10:11 PM

Ummmm, Congratulations? Is Madz going to split her riding time between Lulu and Nemo? Or, are the two of you going to go riding together. You know, riding is what you do when you own a horse. Just saying.....

Kevy Baby 06-02-2010 10:14 PM

Conga rats on the new acquisition!

So Maddie isn't horrible as a horse, but how is she as a teenager.

katiesue 06-02-2010 10:35 PM

Nemo's gone (long story and I use many R rated words to describe how it went down) so LuLu is now her new baby. And I've done the riding thing and I've got the cracked collar bone to prove it - so she's on her own.

So far Polo's fine, Pony Club we aren't sure yet as Maddie has yet to jump her and drill team pratice tonight was kind of a disaster. But with lots of pratice and patience LuLu will become the new Nemo.

do you want us to help find him/her?

CoasterMatt 06-03-2010 06:05 AM

I always wanted to get a horse and name it "Cat".

Ghoulish Delight 06-03-2010 06:37 AM

Or Elmer.

Snowflake 06-03-2010 07:59 AM

Congrats. Is she on her own with the mucking, too?

LuLu looks like a nice horse.

Alex 06-03-2010 08:07 AM

Congratulations. I've never ridden a horse. When I was young it was because my mom is afraid of them, she says you can see in their eyes that they want to kill you, so you can't trust them.

Then when I got older it seemed like a cruel thing to do to a horse (not riding them in general, but rather putting me on one of them).

scaeagles 06-03-2010 08:55 AM

I rode a horse once. Bucked me off. Then I tried to get back on and it tried to bite me.

Decided at that time it wasn't for me. So I'm with your mom, Alex.

Cadaverous Pallor 06-03-2010 10:19 AM

Keep an eye on the next jump - it's a Lulu!

Strangler Lewis 06-03-2010 11:03 AM

Haa-choo!

Yea me too. I'm allergic to horses, hay and alfalfa.

cirquelover 06-03-2010 12:42 PM

It looks like a very pretty horse. Congrats to Madz!

innerSpaceman 06-03-2010 01:04 PM

I miss riding.

Ok, I haven't done it in 32 years. But it was cool, and I'd love to ride Lulu, if she'd have me!

Is she going to be at the housewarming??

katiesue 06-03-2010 01:06 PM

Well she's not right at the house but Maddie can take you on a short field trip over to the stables :)

Not Afraid 06-03-2010 01:53 PM

I'll go to the stables! I miss having a horse - not the upkeep but the riding part.

katiesue 06-03-2010 01:55 PM

We could put her in the garage. Since they're cutting the school buses next year Maddie could just ride her to school.

Gemini Cricket 06-03-2010 02:34 PM

That animal will never fit in a shoe box that has holes in it for air that stores nicely under a bed...

Betty 06-03-2010 04:00 PM

Horsey! Luv luv luv.

I miss my horsey days. Grew up riding horses nearly every day of the summer on a ranch in Nor Cal. Now that we live out in the country, sort of, there are lots of people with horses. I just keep reminding myself they are expensive and require a LOT of upkeep.

Congrats to you guys though. Pretty horsey!

Disneyphile 06-03-2010 05:46 PM

She is beautiful! :)

And whose box.

(Pic related -- it's a horse looking out the window)
