The lucky winners of the Happiest Passholder contest - which will gain you entrance into Disneyland on May 4th - will be announced tomorrow, April 19th.


There's a decent chance that someone from LoT will be chosen to attend. If you are that lucky person - and you can attend - we'll expect a full report.

Was I supposed to enter? Or am I entered just by dint of having an AP? Enquiring minds, and all.

If you were already signed up to the AP section of the disneyland website, you were entered.

Some important qualifications:

You have to have registered for the Disneyland website and submitted a valid email address my March 1, 2005.

Passholder must be in good standing as of February 28th.

Hmm, I wonder how many APs have registered at the Disney site - otherwise the odds would be half a million to one.

There are two thousand five hundred (2,500) GRAND PRIZES: One (1) set of two (2) tickets to attend the media event of the 50th anniversary of Disneyland park to be held on May 4, 2005.

Hmmm... assuming that ALL Passholders entered, and assuming that my hunch of about 455,000 APs* means that the odds of any individual passholder winning is 1:182.

If only 75% of Passholders is eligible for the drawing, the odds increase to about 1:135. 50% would be about 1:90. If only 2,500 registered then we ALL get a pair (heh, it could happen!).




* I speculate that there are around 455,000 APs based on the Passport Passholders received in the mail recently (not your AP, but the special blue booklet that was sent: the one with the coupon for your free mousepad and other nifty offers). If you look on the back of the Passport, you will see a code. I don't have mine in front of me, but I called NA and she told me that the last four digits of the code are "460M." This is a designation used when printing items like this that indicate how many are printed. The M is used to designate thousands. So on this printing, they produced 460,000. Figuring they probably ordered overs for various reasons, I figure that the actual number of APs is probably around 455,000 currently.

I've seen and heard various TV and radio stations in Southern California holding contests for May 4th tickets, too.

A few people at MousePad and MiceChat have posted that they received e-mail notifications for winning. Let's hope the notification process is delayed or slow, so someone from LoT might still win.

I know I haven't posted in awhile but I was so excited I just wanted to let everyone know that I won tickets in the AP contest! I had just cancelled my May 12th trip today and had NO plans of going until July. Now I have to find a room, the funds, and Sparky taking 3 days off of work :eek: I hope others from here and MC can join me!! :cheers:

I fear that Disneyland must have made a horrible mistake. I will have to call them and inform them that I have not yet received my notification email. I fear my email information may not be correct in their system. This is obviously a gross oversight and a horrible mistake on the part of Disney.
