The countdown has started! Time to create a list of things we must do before heading out for 2 years in some capitol swampland. Suggestions solicited!

Come to SF to see the Walt Disney Family Museum. Okay, a little far from the berm.....but still. :)

Maybe we can arrange for an earthquake or riot before your departure.

Sadly, next week I will be at the OTHER happiest place on earth.

Whew! You'll just make it. The reflecting pool is going away for the next two years.

Wow, I bet that puts a measurable dent in tourism. I know I'd delay any plans until afterward.

I'm all for less tourists but I'd wager it won't have much effect. In fact some might reason it's a good time to come since other people won't and we'll end up with even more tourists.

Does having space mountain down for extended service put a measurable dent in attendance or does it just make the other areas of the park that much busier?

So, the reflecting pool will be out of refurb for the second year of my clerkship?

You do have to account for this being DC. While most things here run with the precision of finely crafted Swiss watch* we do have the occasional cost overrun/project delay.
