For all you Totally Serious Happy McRib Lovers out there
Way too much work!
Going to McDonalds, buying one and then eating one is way too much work!
I have a friend that bought 50 of the sandwhiches last time they were available, took them home and froze them. Surprised me that they were tasty six months later when he thawed them and reheated them in the oven. They didn't reheat too well in the microwave tho.

Speaking of the abomination that is the McRib sandwich..
I ran across this article today. In it they put forth the idea that the secret to when and where the elusive McRib shows up at McDonald's is based primarily on the price of pork. When it's at it's lowest, presto! The McRib makes a comeback. |
They're back here. I had my one for the year last week.
I tried them once, and thought they were gross. Like a Swanson TV dinner Salsbury steak with sweet & sour sauce.
Had my first one in ten+ years yesterday..........first bite was awesome; but by the time I was halfway thru it I started to get disgusted and suddenly I remembered why I haven't eaten one in over a decade.
My son is very excited that they are back. I think he walked down and got one last night, at least he came home with a McD"s cup.
Never tried one, they look nasty. Sorry bear!
I've had one, and I'm in the one good bite camp.
Interestingly, I saw a McRib billboard today. With the little dribbles of sauce poking out onto the edge of a bun, the meat looked like some strange, post-A-bomb horror creature with slow, little legs. |

I've never had one because they reportedly contain pork and I don't want to be a bad Muslim. But just based on appearance, knowing people who like them and look forward to their return makes me question why I like those people.
