Happy 2011

I believe the Lashpair are already there and maybe can give us an advance look on the New Year. But I hope all of you have a very happy New Years eve and that 2011 brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams.

Cheers!

Happy New Year - I'll be escorting a group of teens to Rocky Horror. They're coming over to make toast shortly. Hopefully I survive to 2011.

A happy and rosy new year to everyone!

And goodnight.

2011 - So far so good. I rode my bicycle over to the tiny Winter Garden downtown area and greeted a few of my fellow citizens, out walking their dogs at midnight. If I haven't mentioned it already, I love my new home, which is kind of like Mayberry and Main Street USA with a little bit of hipness creeping in at the edges.

I wish much new happiness on all of those more westerly (or northerly) than I.

In Encinitas. I think the kids were a little "overwhelmed". It just wasn't like on Glee. They all survived but I think the romance has worn off :D

Muahaha, visible mojo. Way to corrupt them! :D

Speaking of corruption...had a lovely time last night and this morning. 2011 is off to a great start, though right now all three of us are so bloody exhausted it's hard to keep it together. I think 7pm is going to be all of our bedtimes.

Happy New Year!

Yes, it was good, but I got caught by the NYE bug in the iPhone that will not sound your alarm unless it is set as a reocurring alarm. I nearly missed my visit to the opium den due to extended napping in the afternoon.

All ye with iPhones take heed of this warning.

2011 will be awesome. I can feel it.

Cadaverous Pallor 01-02-2011 07:49 PM

I'm very interested in this year, mostly because the focus is on 2012. Election, world ending, not in that order. Apparently we should live this year like it's our last.

Makes me think that 2011 is going to sneak up on us with some major events. Hopefully for the best.

Ghoulish Delight 01-02-2011 08:13 PM

2010 was SUCH an amazing year in so many ways for me that I'm trying not to think too much about 2011 for fear of being disappointed. Just going to enjoy whatever good things come my way.

Headliner is off to a rough start for 2011. The iPod Touch we gave her for Christmas was stolen today and to make matters worse, she tired to install the tracking app but never got it working.

By the way, CP, the end of the world is not scheduled till November of 2012, so we really shouldn't start living like it's the last year of Earth until thanksgiving or so.

But we can start having a good time right now anyway. Just not overdo it.

Haven't you heard? The new date for the Rapture has been set for May 21st 2011.

Cynthia 01-03-2011 06:56 PM

2010 had been one of the best years of my life, and I have had a wonderful life . . . so things can just keep going along fine for me and hopefully the world as a whole will be a better one.

Love how the old coot in the article refers to Mayan prophecy as a "fairytale" because it doesn't have a "stitch of biblical authority."

Wow, that was fast. Sorry to hear it.

This is not the first time Camping has made a bold prediction about Judgment Day.

On Sept. 6, 1994, dozens of Camping's believers gathered inside Alameda's Veterans Memorial Building to await the return of Christ, an event Camping had promised for two years. Followers dressed children in their Sunday best and held Bibles open-faced toward heaven.

But the world did not end. Camping allowed that he may have made a mathematical error.
How did his career not end right there and then? Incredible.

Well, at least we get to point and laugh the next day. Sucks to be you, suckers.
