Anyone else game?

Maddie's been dying to play MouseAdventure so we're in this time in basic. The Angry Gods.

Anyone else playing?

Registration opened this morning.

Ghoulish Delight 02-24-2011 11:22 AM

We are taking our Masters' Exemption and playing for free. Since it's free anyway we went for the Advanced division, why not, even though with Theo in tow we obviously won't be tearing up the scoreboard.

Alex 02-24-2011 11:55 AM

Yeah, but you'll get the stroller bonus of using it as a crowd splitting tool.

katiesue 02-24-2011 11:57 AM

Wow Advanced is already sold out and Basic is at 80%.

BarTopDancer 02-24-2011 12:48 PM

We've been priced out for a while now.

Last time we were there it seemed people thought the stroller was a sign that we were easy to cut in front of. Perhaps we need to be more aggressive.

It will be fascinating to experience MA with a baby. I'm hoping my competitive pressure sensor is completely disabled.

I won't be able to make it this year to staff. I'm sad to miss the luau fun!

Simba's Pride have been pretty competitive still even with their baby. Peter's Pans also have a little one. You'll be in good company!

Good luck on your first game, katiesue. :)

Perhaps one of you just needs to weld a steel plowblade to the front of Theo's stroller.

What is Mouse-adventure like, I only just got here and the web page is very general, I take it there is allot of running about the park?

I've played before, Maddie played once but it was, well not a fun time. So we'll see how it goes just the two of us this time.

No running! Walking quickly. :) It's a series of puzzles/quests that you solve within the park. There are logic puzzles, visual puzzles, word puzzles, and eye-spies among other things. It helps to have a good knowledge of the parks to be competitive, but you can also just play to have fun.

I've seen best friends and spouses struggle to keep from killing each other during MA.

That would be Jen and Greg. Let's see if Theo's presence enables some sort of filter.

Ghoulish Delight 02-24-2011 03:47 PM

Are you kidding me? If all goes well, Theo's first words will be "Read the whole fvcking clue!!"

We had to restrain Steph one year. Something about Frank Lloyd Wright......

€uroMeinke 02-24-2011 08:07 PM

Kevy Baby 02-24-2011 08:09 PM

I remember back in 2002, my young son and I were playing as a team (Redd Rocketts). You and Jen spotted a clue and pointed as my son and I were looking at that spot. We saw what you did giving us the answer, and you made a remark about being a little more stealth next time. Good times! My son is an adult and out of the nest now, and the fact that you will have a son with you this time seems fitting, and almost surreal at the same time. Have a great time you guys!

Disneyphile 02-25-2011 01:36 PM

We're working this one again. :D

I take bribes. But, I can't guarantee I'll give correct answers with those bribes. ;)
