Your Royal Wedding Guest Name

Swiped from a friend ...

“In 'honor' of the royal wedding on Friday, use your royal wedding guest name this week. Start with either Lord or Lady. Your first name is one of your grandparents’ names. Your surname is the name of your first pet, then “of” followed by the name of the street you grew up on. Just for fun, let’s do this! Post yours here.”

Yours truly,

--Lady Nell Sally of Esplanada
(with a name like that, I look and act like Kim Kardashian and married an aristocrat 67 years older than me and terminal)

Ghoulish Delight 04-29-2011 09:27 AM

Lord George Kismet of Mobile

(We moved a lot when I was growing up, so there are several streets to choose from. I chose the one that fit the best.)

Lord Roland Josephine of Edgebrook Court

ETA: I just remembered that my parents had two pets when I was born. Combined with all the streets I lived on, and having four grandparents, I have lots of names to choose from.

Alex 04-29-2011 12:25 PM

Lady Frieda I Don't Remember of 30th.

For porn names and such things as this it probably would have been good if at least once in my childhood we had lived on a named street (as opposed to a number or letter street).

I accidentally saw 2 minutes of coverage this morning as I was leaving for work at 5:30a.m. Can I just say that I hope William is forever after this able to avoid being filmed from an above angle? Not flattering.

Chernabog 04-29-2011 12:51 PM

Lord Alfred Buffy of Mayall.... LOL I guess that works.

Disneyphile 04-29-2011 01:24 PM

I'm Lady Esther Snoopers of Barnard!

Since there aren't really any other threads about the wedding...

Check the Hidden Mickey in the beige hat.

A friend in the UK wrote me, they have their mother's looks and lack of fashon sense, pity.

SzczerbiakManiac 04-29-2011 03:28 PM

Whew! I was worried I was the only one who thought those outfits (mostly the hats) were ridiculous.

JWBear 04-29-2011 05:13 PM

Actually, Princess Beatrice's outfit (the beige one) wasn't bad. The dress was nice, and I thought the hat was striking. They would have been much better in a stronger color. Whoever did her makeup needs to be thrown into the tower.

Princess Euginie's hat was ok, but the dress was major fug!

Apparently, my parents wanted to make sure I didn't go into porn. Using the pet as the first and street as last, I would be Hinkie Willowbrae

So, this naming game asks you to provide information that is often used in challenge questions for bank and credit card accounts and may be part of a larger social engineering scam, so be careful where you share it.

Gemini Cricket 04-29-2011 06:45 PM

Lady Clarence Lono of Heulu?!

This game sucks!
:D

Ick. You're right, EuroMeinke.

Can this thread either be eliminated or whisked down below? Thanks and sorry for not thinking this through.

Ghoulish Delight 04-29-2011 08:36 PM

Seeing as no one's real name is attached to anything here, I wouldn't be particularly worried about it in this forum. Just just don't go putting it up on facebook or something silly like that.

Thank the gods I'm not the only one who instantly thought that when I saw 'em! :snap:

Beatrice's hat really should be a uniform piece for disciples of Cthulhu or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

OMG OMG OMG... Stoat totally called this when he saw them as well. Bwah hahahahahaha.

Hey!! I'd wear either outfit myself!

Chernabog 04-30-2011 08:45 AM

The ode to Cthulhu hat is fvcking hideous. The worst problem is that from front-on it looks like a toilet bowl with ribbons on it. Not to mention inconsiderate to the people sitting behind her at the wedding.

Well, there had to be SOMEONE wearing something stupid and I'm glad it was them. I mean, no publicity is bad publicity -- perhaps years from now people will most remember her and that hat, as they do a certain someone and a swan dress... ;)

Kevy Baby 04-30-2011 09:28 AM

Someone established a Facebook page for Princess Beatrice's hat.

Lady Irene Fang de Via Santiago (cat, MUCH better!)

Have managed to avoid all video footage of the ridiculousness.

I like Bea's hat.

True. But for anybody who might fall afoul of that, you shouldn't ever truthfully answer any security question where you get to define the answer.

I randomly pick from the provided that will allow it and always say the same passphrase is the answer regardless of the question.

So it could ask "What high school did you graduate from" and my answer would be "hot dog bun".

I used to answer the "The name of your first pet" question with "Ms. July" but then I actually had to use it and I felt pretty stupid telling the nice lady on the phone "Ms. July"
