Yippee !!! When do you take delivery of it ?

wendybeth 05-10-2011 01:43 AM

Wow! I am so happy for you both- I can say unequivocally that being a mom is the best thing I have ever done, or will ever do. Just think- next Mother's Day, you will have a little scooby of your own!!!!!!(One of my clients referred to baby Tori as a 'scooby', and it sort of stuck). It's Scooby, Little Bear, and Victoria Elizabeth Anderson when I am irritated with her. Most days it's Little Bear, though. ;) Congrats!!!!!!

Capt Jack 05-10-2011 09:13 AM

get the extended warranty. :p seems most 'printer owners' want to return it for a better, more behaved one at some point...although Ive never heard of it actually happening

(conga rats) :snap:

Morrigoon 05-10-2011 09:47 AM

Wendy: We've sort of casually been referring to it as 'Peanut'. (Though this week it's more the size of a raspberry)

Gemini Cricket 05-10-2011 10:27 AM

Hooray! Congrats! :)

Motorboat Cruiser 05-10-2011 09:12 PM

Aww, congratulations!

lashbear 05-11-2011 12:03 AM

Oh, and start saving for the cost of all the Consumables !!

(At what age do Printers require an AP?)

Printers require an AP at 3. It gets expensive with multiple printers.

A Great Mystery

How is it that you LoT young'uns have become adults and yet I never grow older?

I may be growing older, but I refuse to grow up

JWBear 05-11-2011 08:55 PM

"And you run and you run
To catch up with the sun,
But it's sinking.
Racing around
To come up behind you again.
The sun is the same
In a relative way,
But you're older.
Shorter of breath
And one day closer to death."

Yeah, but if you get comfortably numb enough, you stop giving a ****. ;)

Morrigoon 05-12-2011 12:44 AM

At the end of the day you're another day older...

Moonliner 05-12-2011 06:38 AM

I on the other hand am fully embracing all the perks of being an old man.

I get to be grouchy for no reason, sleep anywhere anytime, personal hygiene becomes largely optional and the old man dress code clearly states that flip-flops are appropriate footwear for any occasion.

Morrigoon 05-18-2011 03:26 PM

So I had my first ultrasound today, and my due date got pushed back. According to the u/s I'm only 8 weeks, 2 days in, and baby is due approximately December 26th. (That was the tech's estimate, we'll see if that changes -again- at the next OB appointment).

Betty 05-18-2011 03:44 PM

Okay - I'm putting my money on December 29th, my bday. A nice capricorn baby... girl?

katiesue 05-18-2011 03:51 PM

Two weeks before and two weeks after the date they give you is considered normal so you never know when they'll pop out. Or in Maddie's case not want to pop out, she went breach around her due date and was almost 2 weeks late. That kiddo did not want to come out.

JWBear 05-18-2011 05:18 PM

A Christmas baby!

My father's birthday was December 28th.

katiesue 05-18-2011 06:42 PM

My Dad's birthday was December 28th too. He always got gipped on presents.

That's what we were hoping to avoid for the poor kid. Though much of my family is sufficiently close to holidays to be sympathetic. Still, poor kiddo!

So you and Alex screwed on Ostara (March 21)?

Morrigoon 05-19-2011 12:10 AM

Nope, gestational age is considered as beginning from day 1 of LMP. But because my body refuses to operate on anything resembling a schedule, that's not a very accurate measurement. Fertilization technically occurs at the beginning of week 3. So IF I was a normal woman, the age the u/s came up with would mean that my LMP began on March 21, when it was actually the 15th, hence the 1 week off on the original estimate.

Betty 05-19-2011 07:49 AM

Yeah - the presents at Christmas / Birthday go like this...

Here you go... Merry Christmas.... and..... THIS one is for your birthday. (just ignore the xmas wrapping paper.)

LOL!!!!!!!!

RStar 05-20-2011 06:45 AM

OMG, Congrats! I only read this thread now because I was wondering why everyone was still chatting about Mother's day.

So do you intend to find out ahead of time if it's a laser printer, or an ink jet? Or do you want to find out when you unwrap it?

Morrigoon 05-20-2011 10:08 AM

Oh no, we intend to find out so we can stock up on the proper toner.

Morrigoon 06-15-2011 06:21 PM

So for those of you poor b@stards who've already been subjected to this on FB and LJ, my apologies, but proud mama can't resist posting them somewhere...

Kevy Baby 06-15-2011 06:30 PM

Looks like your typical mutant :D

Cynthia 06-15-2011 08:09 PM

I am afraid I won't take a proper interest till I can buy the baby frilly dresses . . .

Betty 06-15-2011 08:35 PM

Awwwww. You can see her little face.

cirquelover 06-16-2011 11:14 AM

Girl clothes are so much more fun!

Then they grow into teens with Dad's that freak out at the mere thought of them dating.

Morrigoon 08-11-2011 11:23 AM

Oh he's ALREADY freaked out about the boys and she's not even out of the womb yet!

cirquelover 08-11-2011 02:33 PM

Awww!
