Ticket Prices go up Sunday, June 12

Ticket prices are going up on Monday. New Price List. Article

Ours expire Monday. But we won't be back till at least mid July. Trying to decide if it's worth it to save $60 or have a longer expiration date.

Morrigoon 06-10-2011 02:00 PM

DAMN! Making a PAP even MORE unattainable for me >:[

Sorry it's SUNDAY, June 12th

Stan4dSteph 06-10-2011 02:03 PM

I wonder what the new cost will be for the Premier pass. Still waiting on the update there. Mine doesn't expire until January 8, 2012.

Ghoulish Delight 06-10-2011 02:05 PM

The price link you posted was for WDW. here's the one for Disneyland.

Deluxe is going up by ~15%
SoCal by 12%
Makes the Premium's 9% increase almost seem modest.

katiesue 06-10-2011 02:12 PM

I think premiums are already getting to the top of their price point.

BarTopDancer 06-10-2011 02:26 PM

I wasn't going to renew until July and I am still waiting on a $200 gift card from Disney Visa. I'm pretty sure that $60 savings is worth it, if it's only going to be 3-4 weeks until I go back. Grrrr.

Brendan 06-10-2011 02:30 PM

Looks like:
Premium: +$40
Deluxe: +$50
SoCal: +$30
Select: +$15

Anybody know what's happening with parking?

katiesue 06-10-2011 04:17 PM

No word on Parking yet that I've seen.

Can someone fix the title to read Sunday - apparently I'm calendar dyslexic.

innerSpaceman 06-10-2011 04:56 PM

Is there such a thing as Deluxe Pass with parking? If so, I think I'll be switching to that next month when my Premium expires.

Deluxe Pass with Parking (Assuming parking doesn't go up): $479
Premium Pass incl Parking: $499

You'll only save $20 and get a bunch of blackout dates for the trouble. This makes the deluxe pass just about the worst value IMO.

Our credit union (Kinecta) provides a $24 discount for each premium pass we buy so I think we're going to pick up a couple tomorrow before prices go up. Much cheaper than waiting for July festivities.

They have a big parking structure and several large lots.

€uroMeinke 06-10-2011 08:28 PM

We just got our renewal package - with the old prices, I wonder if they'll honor those (and the $20 discount) after Sunday

Brendan 06-10-2011 09:06 PM

I just bit the bullet and bought a couple premium AP's. (Saved $44.90 by doing it online which is about 5%). Went with the "E-ticket": PDF email. At the top of the pages: "Redeem by 12/31/2011". So, if you have plastic to burn and think you're going to buy a pass at some point before 12/31, you can buy now at the better price and redeem later when you'rre ready to start the year.

innerSpaceman 06-10-2011 09:08 PM

That's tempting. But I would not get my renewal discount that way, which I suppose would negate the savings of avoiding the price increase. Too bad, because my pass expires in 5 weeks.

RStar 06-10-2011 11:46 PM

Wowa! When I first read the WDW prices thinking they were for DL and saw the $699 for the primium pass I nearly soiled myself! Then I thought about it and checked the top of the paget to see that is was WDW. Now the $499 doesn't sound so bad. Almost.

They had to get a Lead's approval to stick notes on my account. When I went back to ask something else they said if you come in with the letter before your pass expires they may be able to honor the price but it will take an override, so go with time to kill.

You can also renew with the payment plan online then take the Disney GC you (and I) have to the ticket booth, apply that to your account and pay off the balance (or continue on the monthly payments until they are done).

Doesn't look like my CU offers any sort of discount, so the renewal will be the only one. Trying to determine if the $60 savings is worth renewing now instead of the next time I go.

So anyway, I renewed with a PAP. After my $200 disney visa gift card my total will end up being $239.

Stan4dSteph 06-14-2011 01:37 PM

The Premier pass is increasing to $749.

Also, monthly payments are now available for all CA residents, not just SoCal people.

What? Where do you see that?

The link (to disney.go.com) that my CU provides still offers premiere passes for $436.05. If anybody missed the window of opportunity and wants to still get one at the lower rate it appears I can help. Deluxe passes are $312.55, socal is $227.05 and socal select is $174.80.

Alex 06-14-2011 02:38 PM

Premier pass (that is, an annual pass good for both Disneyland and Disney World) not Premium pass.

Hummm. So it's only $250 more than a Premium to buy a Premier? That's totally worth it if you're also going to WDW.
