We haz it.
OMFG - 3D in your living room is amazing. We bought the Blu-Ray of Cousteau's underwater trilogy of films and have been gasping in awe. And (as fodder for the First World Problems Thread) we mounted it over the stairwell to get it out of the way ! Can't wait to get Titanic, Up, and Despicable Me. |
OOO SHINY!!!!
|
Excellent! If you wanna see something spectacular, get the 3D Bluray of Carmen by the Royal Opera House- simply stunning.
|
Pretty cool!
It looks a bit like the railing might be in the way from that shot (but I'm sure it's not). Plus it must have been real fun to hang in that position! |
From the couch, the screen is comfortably above the rail, and yes - we had a lot of fun with ladders, carpeting and planks to get it where it is (it is over the deepest part of the stairs - but we made sure it wont drop on top of anyone. I was very insistent on that.)

I second Carmen as a terrific 3D blu ray. Also, for some eye-popping 3D fun, RIO is a knockout. The story isn't much, but the music and vibrant colors are wonderful, and it's super cute. I love 3D at home, moreso than at the theaters. (Indeed, I hardly ever go to the theaters at all anymore.)

They say people who get oversized televisions are compensating for something. ;)

Age-related ocular degeneration?
(:snap: for the series 3 HD TiVo) |
Ooh, TV envy, kewel
|
That is tres cool! I bet Rio would be visually stunning and amazing to watch.
|
Carmen and Rio are most emphatically on the wishlist, along with Titanic and Avatar.
...and GD - LOL to you. At least we don't have to try to balance glasses on top of 3D glasses (yet...) I wonder if Specsavers makes prescription active 3D glasses..... ? |
|
Yay - but I'm not going back to a smaller screen. :p
|
So, size does matter
|
[sings]...and that's my new philosophy.
