Google Tips and tricks?
I have to teach a how-to session on "Googleing" next week.
Anyone have any favorite trips or tricks for searching with Google? |

Google image search comes in handy from time to time. Right click on an image that's online and do a google image search for it. Shows you similar photos too.

I use the calculations thing a lot too. Type a math problem into the search bar instead of getting out a calculator.

current time in other cities - current weather - converters (measurements, currency, temperature etc)

Yes - it takes me to a website that does it - but I want it to do it all on it's own. |

When it comes to baking breads and cakes, I've found weighing so much easier and more accurate. I just have to convert a lot of recipes first. Although America's Test Kitchen has started to include weights in all their baking recipes after I requested it on their Facebook page - which did make me happy... whether it was me that did it or not. /derail? |
I'd be sure to point out the options on the left (e.g., in a "News" search, the options to limit to just blog results, or show only results from the last hour, and to sort by date instead of relevance.).

I also love the new-ish "search by image" option.

Make sure they go to google.com for the US version.
