I don't like.........

I don't like the word panties. It's underwear people. Underwear.

Although I'm a hypocrite because I use the phrase "don't get your panties in a bunch" all the time.

Betty 10-17-2012 02:55 PM

I'm not that fond of "crotch".

€uroMeinke 10-17-2012 03:24 PM

How about knickers?

I agree with you on that one Betty.

I'm ok with knickers, pantaloons, briefs - it's just the panties that bug me.

Strangler Lewis 10-17-2012 03:50 PM

The panties your mother laid out for you?

The ones that cover your crotch? Those are they.

Crotch just sounds rather odiferous, doesn't it?

I also don't like the word weiner.

Kevy Baby 10-17-2012 08:24 PM

I actually don't mind the word panties: I jokingly refer to my underwear as panties.

Crotch is silly.

Knickers is fun.

Lack of panties is even more fun. Although I don't like the term "going commando."

Kevy Baby 10-17-2012 08:26 PM

I don't like that there isn't a "don't like" button on Facebook.

It's not just me! I absolutely loathe that word, and I don't really know why. It sounds like stepping on a slug with bare feet feels. I generally say underpants.

Betty 10-18-2012 11:23 AM

Turns out I also have issue with the "word" (it's not really a word): sammy (instead of sandwich.)

This may be related a mean little neighbor boy named Sammy we used to live near.

katiesue 10-18-2012 11:47 AM

How about grown ups who use works like sammy and puhsketti etc when speaking of such items with other grown ups.

I'm from a town called Susanville which apparently now is referred to as "the Ville". Which just sounds incredibly stupid to me.

Moonliner 10-18-2012 12:13 PM

I don't like bigotry, hatred and people that need me to think like them before they can accept me.

Prudence 10-18-2012 01:41 PM

I don't like church rock bands. Or Japanese beetle larvae. Or crowds on the platform that rush the train car as the door opens and before the herd waiting just inside can get out. As long as no one initiates a rush it's fine, but once one entitled idiot does it the whole crowd follows suit.

Cadaverous Pallor 10-18-2012 04:36 PM

The word "groin" is worse than "crotch".

Capt Jack 10-18-2012 04:51 PM

only when punched in it

I aggree on that one. Along with addy for address.

What I don't like are words or phrases spoken as real, when it just shows lack of intelligence by the person spewing them out their mouth hole. For example:

-Irregardless

-I could care less

I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Alex 10-19-2012 05:41 AM

Irregardless and I could care less don't bother me. I use the latter because I mean it ironically and it annoys some people.

RStar 10-19-2012 07:10 AM

I could see you doing that, Alex!

In a case like that, however, it wouldn't annoy me at all. I would find it rather humorous.

LSPoorEeyorick 10-19-2012 10:31 AM

I've never understood "sammy" as shorthand for sandwich. Shouldn't it be "sandy"? (Or, you know, sandwich. Who needs shorthand?)

I hate it when people pronounce "nuclear" as "nu-kyu-ler."

Kevy Baby 10-19-2012 12:02 PM

I always pronounce "nuclear" as "ur-fücked"

Prudence 10-19-2012 01:08 PM

I say sammich. I like it!

I hate it when people use "decimate" in place of "utter destruction."
