Scrooge in Disneyland

Hi all... I'll be west coasting for a few days starting November 2, heading home on November 9.

I'm supposed to meet up with Cricket and Sac while there, but would love to see anybody else that cares to venture out.

If you want, shoot me a pm and we'll set something up.

innerSpaceman 10-22-2012 01:56 PM

How about Sunday, the 4th? Good excuse to renew my AP. :D

innerSpaceman 10-22-2012 01:57 PM

(By the way, neither Cricket nor Sac are local to So Cal, so is this your way of announcing their arrival also? If so, please remind me NOT to accept any Sac invitation to get high in the parking lot of the Grand Cal.)

Cadaverous Pallor 10-22-2012 02:11 PM

Scrooge? Sac Town? Holy crap! And of course we're busy the 4th. Hope we work it out.

... like you need one ;)

Word is, though, Sac/Josh/Todd, will be heading back north sometime the morning of the 4th. They'll be around for a while that morning but I don't know their exact schedule. So if a Sac hookup is essential, Saturday the 3rd is probably the better bet... or Friday evening.

Announcement? Yes! ... and dubious task accepted and uploaded to iCloud

Hmmm Do the 2nd or 3rd or 5th or 6th or 7th or 8th look any better? I MUST visit San Diego zoo this time; a certain panda plush must be procured. If you and printer aren't busy, I'd love to have u guys tag along.

I need to see Universal this time and the Getty. And so far, everything's wide open time wise. Meetups don't have to be at a park. You folks know more about the area then I ever will.

Fiscal Year 2012 has sucked me dry. I need a bliss re-charge

BarTopDancer 10-22-2012 03:26 PM

Um GC lives in Burbank now. Pretty sure that's SoCal.

But SAC? You have some magical powers.

And I'd love to see you!

innerSpaceman 10-22-2012 04:18 PM

How's Saturday the 3rd work for everyone? (I would be a total BASKET CASE on my 1st free day after Halloween, but I'd take one for the team).

What do you mean GC lives in Burbank now? Am I looking at an old thread?

€uroMeinke 10-22-2012 04:22 PM

I'd be up for a Getty meet as well

Yeah, we share a loft together not far from Burbank town center. How could you not know that?

Behold the cell phone! (cue angelic choir)

Scrooge no do Facebook. Scrooge fear Facebook. Facebook bad magic.

I wish Crystal could have come, but she already had classes scheduled and Kat's in school. It'll be great to see all the guys though.

I asked if he might be able to coax MickeyLumbo out of his hidey-hole. He's such a sweetie. I remain hopeful ;)

Morrigoon 10-22-2012 07:48 PM

I'd be up for meeting, except for that Saturday, though even there I could do evening

Wish we could. The SD Zoo is too far for us.

We are all free Sat the 3rd, and at least Theo and I are available on the 7th, 8th, and the afternoon of the 6th, for Disney or whatever else locally. I would consider the Getty, but I really can't handle Theo alone there.

Now THAT would be some Big Heap Magic Mumbo Jumbo Lumbo!

LSPoorEeyorick 10-23-2012 09:11 AM

We are up for meets during the day on the 3rd. Scrooge and Sac, hurray!

innerSpaceman 10-23-2012 12:33 PM

RATS! Saturday the 3rd is a blockout day. I'd love to see everyone, but that's not possible. Any chance the out-of-towners would be up for some more Disneyland the morning of Sunday the 4th?

Oh, I don't think that'll be any problem ;)

Gn2Dlnd 10-24-2012 10:55 AM

Saturday for me! Sunday, gots to sell the cheese.

Oh, and Steve, yeah, pancakes. :cakes:

innerSpaceman 10-24-2012 11:02 AM

I'm so sorry I will miss the Saturday shenanigans.

I hope the visitors will be alive for breakfast or something on Sunday.

€uroMeinke 10-24-2012 11:23 AM

Not a block out day for me AP wise, now to check with NA's schedule.

CoasterMatt 10-24-2012 11:36 AM

Lemme know when you go to Universal. I seem to be tied to that place, somehow.

So I hear ;) I'll keep you in the loop.

alphabassettgrrl 10-27-2012 08:08 PM

Wednesday the 7th is my only available day that week; working literally every other day. I'll see how my energy is - would love to meet up with you.

BarTopDancer 11-01-2012 11:35 AM

I will be there on the 3rd!

What are your plans/schedule like? Do we have a meeting place?

Were you wanting to meet up at the resort or somewhere else? I'm trying to squeeze in Getty Villa, Universal and San Diego zoo this trip. Wednesday is tentatively a day away from the resort but that can easily be changed.

We'll be at the resort Friday, Saturday for the meet and again Sunday to see how's by Stevie. I'm sure we'll be in the park early Saturday, but I don't know if a specific time/place has been set.

Past that, Sac's heading out Sunday AM sometime and I don't know Cricket's schedule beyond Sunday. I know I'll be back in the parks Tuesday evening and probably Thursday since that's my last day.

Are you at Universal all next week or are there days I should avoid?

CoasterMatt 11-01-2012 03:12 PM

Best day for me is Thursday.

Scrooge McSam 11-01-2012 03:45 PM

Yikes... So if I want to see Universal and still make a last run through Disneyland Thursday night, I'd need to make that drive south sometime around 2 or 3? That sound about right? Would that be early enough? Maybe I should ask IS there a good time to make that drive.

alphabassettgrrl 11-02-2012 08:11 AM

I'm not tied to Disney. Getty Villa would be fun; haven't been there for a while, or Universal is an option.

Kevy Baby 11-02-2012 11:25 AM

How about sightseeing in Encino?

innerSpaceman 11-02-2012 02:14 PM

Sigh. Can't make it Sunday after all.

Is there a big meet set for Saturday? Because maybe I could head down there for some late night.

CoasterMatt 11-02-2012 05:13 PM

Sorry, Thursday is gonna be a big ugly meeting day for me.
:(

Cadaverous Pallor 11-02-2012 05:38 PM

We're hoping to be there sometime on Saturday. Probably afternoon? When is good for you, Scrooge?

Gemini Cricket 11-02-2012 11:48 PM

CP ~ We're going to be at DL and/or DCA all day Saturday. We have Parkhoppers. Text me when y'all get to the DLR.

Brad is interested in seeing Getty Villa too. We're headed into the parks in a short-short so we'll be a little out of pocket for the remainder of the day but let's keep this on the table. Sounds like fun!

BarTopDancer 11-03-2012 01:45 PM

So there's no real meet plan. Text Brad or me if you are coming over.

Ghoulish Delight 11-03-2012 02:14 PM

Looking unlikely we'll be there. Having some of Theo's friends over tomorrow - day is disappearing quickly in a cloud of cleaning and tidying. :(

LSPoorEeyorick 11-03-2012 02:27 PM

Wish we could also join - we're both sunk with colds in the TodiMooers household.

katiesue 11-03-2012 04:06 PM

Maddie started the day with the Mock ACT, then matinee of school play. She's not in the play but she's in drama club so she's working the lobby. Then a short break before the evening performance. So we're out. And I'm sad :(

BarTopDancer 11-03-2012 11:28 PM

Great fun today with GC, SacTown and Sam with special guest appearance by SacTown's [not anymore] kids.

Ok, great!

Cadaverous Pallor 11-04-2012 06:17 PM

Bummed we couldn't make it on Saturday. We're aiming for Wednesday the 7th!

Scrooge McSam 11-09-2012 09:03 AM

What a week! Good friends, good food, good times

Be well, all... See you next go-round

Kevy Baby 11-09-2012 09:51 AM

Good to see you again Sam. Safe journeys

alphabassettgrrl 11-09-2012 03:29 PM

Good to see you- was a great day! Travel safe going home!

innerSpaceman 11-09-2012 03:37 PM

Sorry I missed you. No AP. Hopefully, there will be a next time.

Cadaverous Pallor 11-09-2012 05:10 PM

Was awesome seeing you on Thursday!

Cadaverous Pallor 11-10-2012 04:47 PM

A handful of pics.

BarTopDancer 11-10-2012 07:21 PM

It was so great to see Sam and Jason (who may or may not be back to LoT after a double dog dare to return).

Great pics CP!

BarTopDancer 11-14-2012 07:46 PM

You were missed!

Your boys have grown up to be very lovely young men. Your husband, however, has remained a teenage boy.

Indeed he has! Works for me....better than becoming an old fart :D

And, thank you. The boys are fine young men now. It is hard to believe how old they (and I ) have gotten.

I plan on being there in May when I graduate. What are the odds you'd be able to "swing by" DL then? Slim, I am sure. But next time you are visiting, I will make it a priority to be there.

I will be sure to send Kat your message.

Til' next time

May, you say? Hmmm Already have reservations in Florida. I wonder if those could be changed. I'm thinking they could ;) I know I won't be able to get Grand Cal... they have so few villa units... but it's worth checking.

I hear Annabella's got some reasonable rates.

Yes. May 4th to be exact.( Lucky me, I graduate on my birthday! )

I would never ask you to change your Florida plans to see me. I am, however, very touched that you would even consider doing so
