Oh gee, if you like Austen, Sense and Sensibility for the romantic Rickman. His Col. Branden still makes me swoon, this man could read the phone book and I'd just melt.

I've not seen it because I cannot abide Kevin Costner, but I understand Rickman walks away with Robin Hood. He's also loads of fun in Die Hard. He's hilarious in Galaxy Quest and also wonderful (caddish) in Love Actually (I love that whole damn movie). Truly, Madly Deeply is good as well.

If it has Rickman in it, you can almost bet money I will see it.

I keep forgetting how much you like Jenna Fischer. Amy Adams is the new Nicole Kidman, isn't she?

:D Well you have to start with Christopher Eccleston, who makes a fantastic doctor, and isn't half bad looking, though less my cup of tea.

Christopher made a good Doctor, but he just was too serious for me. Not that David couldn't be serious (he had some great angry rants!), David just was a bit more playfull than Christoper.

It wasn't until Matt came on the scene that I began watching, and he is still my favorite! And the stories are much better since Steven Moffat took over (When the 11th Doctor took over, Steven took over after he was the show runner).

But in my opinion, David is the better looking of the three, although there is a Captain Jack Sparrow charm to Matt Smith.....

I can think of two good reasons. Three if you include the hair.

Put them together and you get Amy Fisher - definitely NOT eye candy.

HeHe, yes he could act pretty silly at times! In his very first episode he was a bit of a crack up. Especially the scene with the mannequin arm at Rose's house when it attaked him and was choking his throat in the kitchen! :D He tossed it in the chair, so they called the DVD chapter "Arm Chair". But, it's hard to pinpoint, his over-all character was more dark, sad, and upset. He seemed a little more self centered & little less caring or something. Matt #11 practically oozes care, love, and moral fortitude. Yes, they all three (I've never watched the earlier original show) have all of these qualities, just in different amounts. And not that it's a bad thing, I tend to look at the Doctor as a blend of all three actors.

Joel didn't really catch my eye until I watched Community. The right clothes and hair and confident demeanor and damn. It's another show I'd highly recommend for writing, geekery, and eye candy.

I could never get in to Community and then with the scheduling drama, "temporary" hiatus and my aversion to shows that just get cancelled I avoided it. Maybe I'll give it another shot once its done.

They both auditioned for both shows and both were on the short list for each part. There is a rumor that Benedict is going to guest on Doctor Who as The Master.

(To give credit where credit is due...I've been watching since the reboot in 2005 but Olivia got interested [finally!] about a year and a half ago and now knows everything anyone would ever want to know about the series and all of its stars-- that's how I know this tidbit)

Smith does have an Odo quality and there are angles of him that I don't like. The huge cheek/jaw bugs when shot wrong. However, there are plenty of other angles that I do like, so I picked those.
