The Proverbial "AP Prices Are Going Up" Thread
Though why I bother I'm not sure, since most of us have dropped our passes already and I suspect a few more are on their way out...
New AP Prices Bearing in mind that several attractions will be down FOR THE YEAR starting in January, including the Disneyland Railroad, one can only imagine what the increase will be by the time Star Wars land finally opens. |
Since I no longer have anyone to go with, it's hard to decide if I should keep one. But I can't imagine not having one right now either. I have until March to decide. Perhaps I'll start attending the noon meets on Sundays, if they will continue.
|
When my current expires in April I will be upgrading to the Premier Pass as I have a Disney World Vacation planned for next year. My original thoughts were to alternate years between Premier and Premium now I have to think what level of Disney Signature Pass I want. In December I am very busy and do not get into the park much but I really enjoy going the week after Christmas but I really need to dress down so that I look like just an old man with a white beard.
|
To save $200, I can live with not going during the two-week xmas period.
Jeebus, when did the parking add-on (for lowers tiers) jump to 200 bucks?!? |
I miss my pass, but holy cow. I'm glad I had a lot of visits before it got this expensive. I don't think I want to pay that much, though I do want one more day.
|
I've had the premium for a lot of years. I think I will go with the signature like SzczerbiakManiac, I don't go during that two weeks around Christmas anyway. My premium expires in March, so maybe I'll go once near Christmas this year just because I can!
It's an extra $70/year, so not too bad monthly. But if they ever discontinue monthly payments I'll be screwed.... |
Our APs expire Christmas Day - guess we'll have to do that one if nothing else just because
|
I think I'm glad I don't have to make this decision. That's a huge chunk of change. I could swear the last premium AP I bought was in the 400s, and that was not all that long ago.
|
We MIGHT do delux next year. It's definitely too much of an ordeal for us to go often enough to make even the Signature worth it.
We might even just say screw it and get...gasp...day tickets for the few times we'll go. |
Oh, and if you go with Deluxe without parking, and use the DtD lot- beware. They are changing it to TWO free hours with 2 more with validation. I wouldn't be surprised in the next year or two it becomes pay only.

It doubled!?! Jeebus...
|
Wow. I didn't realize they were raising the parking rate for DTD. We'll park in the normal lot, since I don't plan to leave before we have to, but wow. That's a lot.
|
I think that's likely part of the reason, to prevent the APers from using the lot for their quick visits. The other part is, MONEY. They like money...
And frankly, that was one of the cheaper lots around. I'm surprised they stayed that cheap, and still offer the two free hours. |
So cal problems :p
;) |
