VIP Party May 4

I'm posting this for MickeyLumbo, because he's still in the park (lucky guy).

He's in costume as a Disneyland RR Engineer - and he was posted on the gold carpet to greet the VIPs.

Here's who he saw:
Tyra Banks, Sean Astin, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Carl Malone, Jon Voight, Andy Garcia, Kelsey Grammer, Jim Belushi, Julie Andrews, Art Linkletter, John Stamos, Christina Aguilera, Geena Davis, Teri Hatcher, Ron Dominguez, Michael Eisner, Bob Eiger, Marty Sklar, Jack Lundquist, Goo Goo Dolls...

He said that the east side of Main Street was packed solid with press, from the Emporium to Coke Corner, and that the place was lit up like it was daylight.

He wanted to make sure that everyone on the board knows that he's having fun, but that his one wish is that all of us could be there too. (I hope he has enough fun for all of us)

He was trying to hang in the park until the fireworks.. so he'll have more to add later...

I KNEW John Stamos would be there! :( I should have looked harder. If only my friend didn't get sooo tired and want to leave at 3.

I think he tried to call me, but I was working late tonight. Thanks for the post, 'pod!

FYI, on the just-uploaded "mini-mousepod" (Minnie MousePod?), I include an audio message from ML about a close encounter with John Stamos.

Ummm...Since when do men keep their penises in their pockets? Remind me not to go digging for keys in there anymore.

I had a philosophy teacher in college who would stand up in front of the class and absentmindedly play pocket pool whilst off on a philosophical tangent......

Probably not the best thing to say right after a discussion of Dr. Lickey's penis and the places it's been :D

I was there too for the press and he walked by me and called my name and we said Hi as he was rushing to somewhere. Had a great day as a member of the press (for the newspaper that the company I work for publishes) and got lots of free goodies on the way out and some nice pictures. A friend from work came along as my photographer and he is also a big Disneyland Fan, so I got a ride to and from Disneyland which was nice for a change. :D

Saw the dedication with Steve Martin and Donald Duck and the Opera House and thought it was very funny and well done. Shool hands with Wally Boag, talked to Tony Baxter, talked to and gave a great big hug to Maynard who was working crowd control, and got my copy of the 6-CD set with golden vinyl record album. The fireworks are incredible and I can hardly wait to see them again. Most spectacular show I have ever seen.

Rode the "new" Jungle Cruise with a great guide that was really funny and loved the changes, especially the Piranah's. That was fun. Rode Mansion, Pirates and Indy as well. We had a "host" with us all day from Disney who has only been there a year and works mostly at the studio. He said that we would have to learn together, and we laughed and told him he was in for a treat as we were going to teach him all about Disneyland; and we did too. He admitted at the end of the day that he this was the best time he had ever had at Disneyland and could hardly wait to get home and tell his wife and kids all the great stuff he learned about Disneyland. We managed to get across the Plaza and ride TOT as well and it was a complete walk on at 11:30am. I love the new Mickey Floral at the front entrance too. That is just beautiful.

Boy, what a great day.
