An unfinished seated woman with axe (thanks to CP for opening up the Open Mic to other forms of expression!):

lizziebith took an axe...

lizziebith 05-10-2005 01:14 PM

Oh, you have no idea ...I've been working on a whole series of women with axes...heheheh.

Love the line quality, especially in the hands, feet and skirt. I'd really like to see this one in person.

Very Nice

You deserve all the mojo in the world for breaking the visual art barrier here at the Open Mic! Thanks! And such a wonderful piece, too.

Her face lets you know that she's not just posing with that axe - she's ready and willing to use it.

lizziebith 05-10-2005 02:03 PM

Thank you so much! Should I post another axe-gal? I don't want this to be just the Lizzie-show! <----- she says shyly.

Post another! Post another!

It's cool for me to see how your work has developed.

LSPoorEeyorick 05-10-2005 04:17 PM

More, more! I dig that first one.

Okay, until more art shows up, it'll be the lizzie-show! Here's another axe-gal sketch. I must finish these this year!

all I gots is photo's, and their mostly women, but here's a landscape outta my collection of works.....

lizziebith 05-10-2005 05:41 PM

I wish I were there...

blueerica 05-10-2005 05:54 PM

YAY!! I'm going to have to get off my ass and scan some of my art. Does anyone have a large-scale scanner? Or am I going to have to take pictures of some of my larger stuff?

blueerica 05-10-2005 05:58 PM

I forgot to mention that I love all the artwork displayed so far. I'm quite envious of Lizziebith's extraordinary line-work. I have a hard time rendering my artwork in that way. It's something I try to work on, but seems impossible. Guess not everyone draws in the same way ;)

lizziebith 05-10-2005 06:07 PM

I can only scan sketches, and badly at that, because of a wee scanner. All my other art is oversized. I'm getting a very large scanner this summer!!! Whee!

:D

Great submissions so far, Name and Lizziebith!

If you've been to my site you've seen this before (if you've been to my site, odds are you saw the other one before too). But a favourite of mine from my collection.

Those were wonderful! Both the sketches and the photos :snap:
