Track 20.....

I was just listening to it in my car on the way home from work. I like it, it's pretty cool.

Gemini Cricket 05-15-2005 09:25 PM

Must have it. MUST have it.

:)

Stan4dSteph 05-15-2005 09:30 PM

Yep. The one on the CD is a demo version, so it may still change a bit according to the producer. Composed by Michael Giacchino who did the music for "The Incredibles." :)

Yeah, I got a copy of it, and it does sound like the Incredibles.

Though I like the orginal better....

Nothing can top the Dick Dale original

I think

I just caved in like a card house on the Brady Bunch and bought it. I'm weak.
:D

The Dick Dale original is on the boxed set as well. It's great, because now you can listen to it on the ride too if you prefer. Just upload the track to your digital player of choice. :)

Mr. Fusion 05-16-2005 08:06 AM

Does anyone else think it sounds like Mission: Impossible meets The Incredibles?

Cadaverous Pallor 05-16-2005 09:27 AM

Am I the only one who doesn't want to hear it beforehand?

I've never been a fan of music on coasters anyway, so maybe that's why.

How many coasters have you been on with music? :)

Hmm, I think just Space and Screamin', now that you mention it.

Screamin' needs the music because it is a kiddie ride. Space, however, I've ridden both with and without music (like everyone else, what with the intermittently working soundtrack that was added only a few years ago) and I have to say I enjoyed it much more when all you heard was the roar of the cars echoing off the walls and the screams of passengers. I LOVE the noises coasters make.

CoasterMatt 05-16-2005 10:57 AM

Yep, that's about what sums up how I feel about coasters with soundtracks...

Of course, I love Rock N Rollercoaster, but that's only because the music is so much of what makes that ride.

I figured I could count on you in this respect. ;)

CoasterMatt 05-26-2005 05:56 PM

Oh man... I just listened to that terrible track... Good lord, it's like the Peoplemover score sped up and played back through somebody's Soundblaster Live card - YECCCCCH!!!!

Unless they intend on giving every rider large doses of mind altering substance (perhaps that's the extra special effects they've talked about?), I don't see how this will mesh with the coaster experience and make it a great SPACE experience (which the Dick Dale score was wonderful at doing).

Gemini Cricket 05-26-2005 06:18 PM

It kind of sounds like 'The Incredibles' mixed with 'Mission Impossible'. I don't care for it. I like the Dick Dale version...
:)

CoasterMatt 05-26-2005 06:35 PM

Of course, nothing beats the onride audio of Me screaming aboard Matterhorn Bobsleds... just ask Gemini Cricket :D

If you get a chance to ride the Matterhorn with CoasterMatt. Do so. You'll laugh 'til ya drop. Hysterical stuff. I won't tell you why, but it's terribly funny. Even the guests in the sled we were racing were laughing...
:D

There's a cast member on the Disneyland group in LiveJournal that says there's a day time AND night time track.
