Monorail Evil's Narrow Escape

There are Stitch decals on at least four of WDW's monorails. Luckily, four remain un-marred (at least for now), Monorail Evil among them (go Evil!).

Unfortunately, they got the Grapeorail. *sigh*

There's just something about Stitch pressing his butt up against the monorail window that doesn't exactly say "Welcome to Disney World."

Goodbye monorails, hellooooo ferry.

Not Afraid 01-12-2005 09:50 PM

So, I know Lime got Stitched as well as the Graporail, but, what poor other Monorails have been humiliated in this way?

And, GO EVIL!

Stan4dSteph 01-12-2005 09:53 PM

Which one is evil?

€uroMeinke 01-12-2005 09:59 PM

I believe it's Black - with a red pinstripe?

Not Afraid 01-12-2005 10:08 PM

Yes! Monorail Black is MONORAIL EVIL!

blueerica 01-13-2005 12:34 AM

Why would they do such a thing to those purdyfull monorails?!?!?!

Go MONORAIL EVIL!!! Keep blowing past those stickers!!

dsnylndmom 01-13-2005 12:37 AM

Kyler thought Monorail Evil was just THE coolest thing EVER(his words)when we were there. :D

Matterhorn Fan 01-13-2005 04:14 PM

Yellow and Silver also got Stitched. As of yesterday, Red, Pink (aka Monorail Barbie), Coral, and Evil were all un-stickered. Blue, Green, Orange, and Gold were not out yesterday--they were probably being Stitched in the roundhouse.

Some of the busses also have the same stickers.

Are you serious? Or riffing?

Matterhorn Fan 01-13-2005 04:23 PM

Unfortunately, it's true. Other stickers have him licking the window.

Scrooge McSam 01-13-2005 04:27 PM

K

Hmmm

Well, I hate to say anything until I can take a look. Do you have a link handy?

Matterhorn Fan 01-13-2005 05:11 PM

Sorry, no.

Not Afraid 01-13-2005 05:15 PM

Just take a pic with your digital camera then email it to me on your speedy computer or host it on your website. :evilsmilie:

Matterhorn Fan 01-13-2005 05:24 PM

Ha, ha . . . you think you're so funny.

I have webspace. At one point I was using it.

Not Afraid 01-13-2005 05:25 PM

Where? Between your toes?

hahahahahehehehehahahahahaa

Matterhorn Fan 01-13-2005 05:30 PM

How dare you try to derail my thread.

I don't know about anyone else, but I will not be riding in any vehicle with Stitch decals on it. If they find a way to Stitch the ferry, it'll be a looooooong walk to Dole Whip.

Not Afraid 01-13-2005 06:44 PM

Derail, hehehehe. Derail the Monorail? hehehehehehe. I've got the Monorail Evil disease!

How about a quick swim?:D

Scrooge McSam 01-13-2005 09:56 PM

Located a couple of shots, if anyone's interested

Ewwwww. That's just wrong.

flippyshark 01-13-2005 10:33 PM

I know that kids often imitate the behaviour of cartoon characters. So, how long before some parents watch in horror as their child licks the monorail windows and moons passers-by?

I happily join Matterhorn Fan in her boycott of all stitched monorails.

Not Afraid 01-13-2005 10:41 PM

OHNOOHNOOHNO Mental picture of tiny butts sticking out of Monorail Evil. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

flippyshark 01-13-2005 10:44 PM

Sorry. I didn't mean to create such an obnoxious mental picture.

€uroMeinke 01-13-2005 11:53 PM

I wonder though if riding in the monorail is the best way then to not see the decal - it seems if your not in one, you'll end up seeing one.

Matterhorn Fan 01-14-2005 02:10 PM

No, they're on the windows. So by sitting in the monorail, you'd be putting your face right up close to the thing.

I'll have to see the stupid decals, but I see riding in a Stitched vehicle (bus or monorail) as approval of the decals, so I'll take the ferry, thanks.

We can't swim across the lagoon on account of the Great White Shark Ameoba Gators.

Cadaverous Pallor 01-14-2005 03:23 PM

I thought "stitched monorails" was a term for Disneyland's lagging fleet. :p ;)

lashbear 01-14-2005 03:28 PM

Maybe they should paint "Stop 'n Grow" on the inside of all the wondows to stop kiddies licking them.

Matterhorn Fan 01-15-2005 10:57 AM

What's "Stop 'n Grow"?

lashbear 01-15-2005 06:01 PM

It's an awful-tasting clear varnish for your fingernails - stops kids chewing them. It's really bitter and disgusting.

Matterhorn Fan 01-16-2005 08:03 AM

Oooooh . . . I've heard of that stuff. My brother liked the taste; it did not work on him.

lashbear 01-16-2005 05:28 PM

Hehehehe so he'd be the one kid licking the windows with Stitch..... LOL

HTHBellcaptain 01-16-2005 08:52 PM

I have to say that I love Stitch, but I think someone in WDW marketing must have recently had a labotomy. First there was "Not-a-Zoo." Next was "HakunmaTicket. Then came (For Tower of Terror) "Good News We Made It Worse." And now instead of a stupid phrase, we end up display Stitch back side prominately for all the world to see. It's as if the Marketing department is Mooning us all.

Matterhorn Fan 01-16-2005 09:30 PM

So those are just self-portraits. Now I get it.

Matterhorn Fan 01-23-2005 05:11 PM

This just in: As of today, Monorails Blue and Pink are still evading Stitchism.

I drink to you, brave transportation of the future!

HTHBellcaptain 01-23-2005 09:08 PM

Hooray!!!! Be defiant, baby boy and baby girl monorail. Individuality that's what it's all about. (Even though they're being individuals together, but you know what I mean.)

Matterhorn Fan 01-23-2005 09:15 PM

It's scary, but I do.

And I'm glad you got the baby thing in. I was thinking about that while making my post, but it just didn't fit.

HTHBellcaptain 01-23-2005 10:10 PM

Yeah, sure you were.

mousepod 01-23-2005 10:16 PM

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I found the Stitch audio on the monorails to be even more annoying...

HTHBellcaptain 01-23-2005 10:24 PM

Yikes!!! I haven't been on the Monorails in a while. I didn't know they added Stitch to the audio. I love Stitch, but there's a time and a place for everything.

Matterhorn Fan 01-24-2005 07:15 AM

Yes, the Stitch in the audio is very annoying.

HTHBellcaptain 01-28-2005 10:41 PM

I tried to go on the Stitch attraction today, even though I've heard mediocre things about it. I got in line, and the thing had to close because of technical difficulties. Oh well. At least I didn't have to see any of the horrible Stitch advertisements on the Monorail.

Cheater! Cheeeeater!!!

Coral and Evil are still safe from the Stitch stickers, for anyone who's keeping track.
