Fall MouseAdventure Announced (october 15 and 16)

Today's MousePlanet DLR Update confirms the MA dates for October 15 and 16. Competition will be in DL and registration will open next Monday.

Ghoulish Delight 08-15-2005 08:46 AM

Wow, cool, they are going through with the 2 day event. But it sounds like the 2 day option is open to everyone, meaning they have ditched the "invitational" concept. If so, that means that the Happy Haunts will not be in the oficial running, as we've been forced into retirement. :) :( <--- mixed emotions. I can't wait to find out if we can remain competetive without the lure of prizes.

Cadaverous Pallor 08-15-2005 09:32 AM

We're still able to kick some ass though.
Quote:

For those who decide to do the whole thing, the Saturday portion of event will be a nighttime set of puzzles focused on Disneyland Park, though you may stray into other areas of the resort.
Nighttime! Awesome! :D

€uroMeinke 08-15-2005 09:51 AM

Hmmm - a Mouse Adventure over Nietzsche's birthday weekend - we'll that might inspire some interesting team names...

scaeagles 08-15-2005 09:54 AM

My family and I will actually be there that weekend. I'll have to keep an eye out for people running around in the event.

Alex 08-15-2005 11:23 AM

Just so you all know, I'm back as the point person on this one, so questions are correctly directed to me this time (whereas last time I had the immense pleasure of just shrugging my shoulders and saying "not my job").

If questions are asked here, I will eventually see them and respond, but if possible I do ask that they be asked over at MousePad so that I will see them sooner and only have to answer them once in a central place.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the event and taking an event off was a good thing as I am once again looking forward to the process of making the game. I always enjoy it while it is happening but the months before it can drag.

I like the "if possible" clause. ;)

Cool! I hope we're in town that weekend. Now that Alex is in charge again, prepare for blazing hot. Isn't that your curse, Alex?

That particular curse was broken in the last one he did, in DCA. But I think that was just the deity of your choice taunting us. "Oh look, they built in a challenge that gets people soaking wet...how about cold weather this time!"

Pull yourself together!!! This will be the grudge match between The Happy Haunts and The Denton Affair!!

We are twice your age and we will mop the floor with you!

And, why does "General You" come to mind?

I suggest you start your own thread to draw attention - I'll bet you'll find at least one other person to team up with. Good luck and welcome to the pageantry that is MouseAdventure! :coffee:

Just for kicks, I'll remember to pack the Happy Haunts dolls and we'll stash them in Golden Dreams for the whole day. That's sure to make 'em frustrated, if anything, just for the comic factor. ;)

Ok, nah.. I couldn't be that cruel.

€uroMeinke 10-06-2005 07:41 PM

So, I registered our team - now we just have to get together and figure out who's all on it.

Ghoulish Delight 10-07-2005 08:22 AM

Well, the Alex effect is back in force. The 10-day forcast has the temperature at 80 in Anaheim next Sunday. I'm sure that'll be up closer to 85-90.

I'm sorry.

Alex 10-07-2005 10:49 AM

Wait, no I'm not. I just looked it up. The average temperature for Anaheim on October 16 is 80 degrees. So it will be an average day.

The record high is 109 in 1958, so it could be worse.

Pfft. Settling for just "average". You'll never get anywhere in this world with that attitude.

Time do design the team Speedo

€uroMeinke 10-13-2005 09:27 AM

After much deliberation our team now has a name:

As much as I wanted to pay homage to my personal savior, Freidrich Nietzsche, whose birthday happens to fall on Mouse Adventure Weekend this year; my brilliant team name suggestions such as “If you’re going to Disneyland be sure to bring the Dole Whip,” “Behold the UberMaus,” “The Eternal Recurrence of Tomorrow,” “Walt is Dead,” and “Also Sprach Uncle Remus;” I was overruled.

Instead we shall be known as: Pro Bono

At the moment, it looks like we will be a team of three (or maybe 2 and three-quarters as one team mate may have to depart early to go to work); however, we are actively recruiting for a 4th member who posses bioluminescence. If you, or you know of someone who likes Disneyland and also glows in the dark, please send me a PM.

Ponine 10-13-2005 09:40 AM

Oh mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.............

I'd volunteer but I already have a team mate......... :(

Brigitte 10-13-2005 09:51 AM

I have some glow in the dark paint here, I can fake it ;) Only if you're flying me down and putting me up though, we're broke :(
