It's that time of year again!

Man, I can't wait till payday... I have a sneaking suspicion that pumpkin spiced lattes are probably availible at Starbucks by now ;)

But that's nothing... I LURVE eggnog lattes!
:coffee:

You know, my only current regret is that it is going to be 85+ degrees in Chicago which will NOT get me in the mood for fall at all. Our cooling trend has gotten me more in that mood for fall. Ugh. No pumpkin lattes until I can wear sweaters - or at least long sleves.

Morrigoon 09-12-2005 04:23 PM

I'm in a sweater with 3/4 sleeves right now :)

(Yeah, yeah, I know, spring sweaters don't count, right?)

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 09-12-2005 04:24 PM

Oh, thank the Jesus for Pumpkin Spiced Lattes!

Prudence 09-12-2005 04:38 PM

Oh heck, there were pumpkin spiced lattes at the starbucks across the street from the law school building last week. I couldn't care less about that. What did make me happy was the reappearance of the caramel apple cider. Yum!

They are~ I've had three allready!

But I'll be in real heaven when gingerbread hits the 'Bucks!

UvaGirl 09-12-2005 05:01 PM

Argh! The gingerbread lattes are the best! I totally overdosed on them when I was in the States last December. Alas, I don't think they will return to NZ...Christmas is in summer here, and the gingerbread doesn't have the same seasonal appeal. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Cadaverous Pallor 09-12-2005 06:16 PM

Just when I was thinking about not indulging myself in fatty snacks anymore...

Doesn't yours have those year round? Ours does, that's the only thing DH will drink from Starbucks.

I'm pretty sure they don't because I was looking for one about a month ago on a freak chilly summer evening. All these blended cremes and such, but no cider. I suppose I could have done a Chantico, but I wasn't in the mood for chocolate.

Betty 09-13-2005 10:59 AM

OMFG! I haven't been to a Starbucks since they ran out of the pumpkin spice syrup. I had broken my $5 a day habit and replaced it with $1 coffee from the local conv. store/gas station.

Thanks! How am I supposed to work that back into my budget!???

Guess it'll have to be a Friday treat - or maybe a Monday morning treat. But darn- it's only Tuesday... okay - I'll have one on Wednesday and then only once a week after. That's workable.. right right. I"m already jones-ing for it. Damn you all! ;)

He's even experimented with making his own to save the money when we're out ;) Tree Top apple cider and some sort of caramel syrup seems to do the trick.

I'm personally a peppermint hot chocolate kind of girl, but I make my own all the time now. I like my own proportions better, though I'll buy one while I'm out too.

Stan4dSteph 09-13-2005 01:31 PM

I've sampled the new pastries: the pumpkin cream cheese muffin, autumn leaf cookie and autumn green apple loaf. I think the muffin is the best.

Steph, thank you so much for your advance research! I wouldn't want any of us to have to try them all if they're not good. ;)

Yes, it's a burden to eat so many baked goods, but I shall gladly bear it for the good of all.

Betty 10-20-2005 05:35 AM

Have you tried Dryer's Pumpkin Ice Cream?! Truly yummy pumpkiny pie-ness... Like eating a very cold pumpkin pie. Turns out it's a nice alternative to spending $5 at Starbucks when I can suppletment that with a scoop of ice cream now and then. Yummmm

Stan4dSteph 10-20-2005 06:18 AM

Update - Starbucks has a Maple Coffeecake Muffin and Maple Macchiatto. At least they do in my neck of the woods. Check it out if you like maple syrup. :coffee:

blueerica 10-20-2005 06:39 AM

maple machiatto.... that does sound scrumptious!

Not Afraid 10-20-2005 11:46 AM

Uh oh. Maple. I'm going to lose my husband to Starbucks. He loves the Maple scones.

TigerLily 10-20-2005 11:50 AM

I just had a pumpkin latte today...i have got to say I was dissapointed. I liked the pumpkin frappachino much better...:)

Morrigoon 10-20-2005 11:59 AM

Of course, once they start selling eggnog lattes I'm REALLY screwed.

€uroMeinke 10-20-2005 07:55 PM

Maple?
