Stupid ABC!
Whose bright idea was it to move Alias to Thursdays at 8:00?
Not only is it difficult to adjust to the new day, my head is having trouble processing Alias as being an 8:00 show. It's not an 8:00 show; it's a 9:00 show. If I can't remember that, I'm going to miss Alias. So I'm apt to miss one of my favorite shows if I don't really really really think about when it's on (or check TV listings on yahoo, which I don't always do). And if that's not enough, this is also Survivor's time slot. Survivor! (Which, incidentally, has been (smartly) in the same day/time slot for ages. Survivor--Thursday--8:00--CBS. Yup, I can remember that!) So what do I watch? I like Alias more, but Survivor doesn't get rerun. My guess is that ABC thinks Survivor's on its way out and they'd put their best (?) show in what used to be the premium time slot. I also think they're hoping I'll get sucked into Night Stalker. Well, guess what, ABC? It's not gonna work. Night Stalker was totally not awesome last week. I watched the X-Files--been there, done that. I am SO boycotting Night Stalker. (But I don't know what station I'll be watching at 8. Grrr.) |
What day was Alias on before?
|
It's been on both Sundays and Fridays, I think (honestly, it's been on hiatus long enough that I don't remember), but always at 9:00.
|
TiVo.
Always catches changes in time and day, unless they don't update the on-screen guide. |
TiVo. Yes, that would solve this problem, wouldn't it?
I'd say I'm unlikely to get TiVo. I like technology, but I'm really far behind. I just don't tend to go out and spend my money on stuff like that. I wait for it to show up on my doorstep, or use it at a friend's house, or for my brother to win it in an arcade. |
I feel your pain.
I have 4 shows on TV that are must see. Three of them are now at the same time on Thursdays - Alias, Survivor, and Smallville. It sucks. |
I'm done with this show. Vartan's off and Garner got knocked up by that moron Affleck.
|
I'm with you. I missed it last week for that very reason. It used to be Lost at 8 on and then Alias right after. That was a good line up. Now that her fiance is gone, I'm not as interested. I'm hoping that he faked his own death.
|
Yes, but "Vaughn Clone" just doesn't have quite the ring as "Sloane Clone," does it?
Alias has brought characters back before. I wouldn't be suprised if Vartan comes back. (Does anyone know why he left?) I agree with everything Steph said except the "done with" part. I'm not ready to let go yet. |
If GD and I were married and had a clone it was be a Sloan-Cone Clone.
|
No, if GD and you were married and had a daughter named Joan, and Joan was cloned, Joan's clone would be a Joan Sloan-Cone Clone.
(Thank you, Dr. Seuss.) |

If Joan Sloan-Cone were advanced in years when the cloning took place, the clone would be a Joan Sloan-Cone Crone Clone.
After she dies, she'd be a Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Clone. At this point, Mama Cone and Daddy Sloan could do the Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Clone Moan. Or Groan. After decomposition, she'd be a Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Bone Clone. If a medical school borrowed her skeleton for teaching purposes, it would be a Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Bone Clone Loan. What was this thread about? |
When they were done with the skeleton, would they bury her beneath a Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Bone Clone Loan Stone?
|
Only in the proper zone.
|
And after all this time, cemetary maintenance would be performed by Robotic Americans, who would, of course, access the grave sites via the Joan Sloan-Cone Prone Crone Bone Clone Loan Stone Drone Zone.

"I can't blab such blibber blubber! My tongue isn't made of rubber."
|
Never seen it. Although ABC is often stupid. I mean, the whole 20/20 special saying Matthew Shepard wasn't the victim of homophobia...
I know, I derail, but sheez! |
Did they really say that? What idiots.
