I just got finished watching Comedy Central's new fake news show, The Colbert Report.

I gotta say, I liked it. The face-off with Stone Phillips was pretty funny. I hope it does well.

I think he's hilarious- I don't know how he can keep a straight face when he says some of the stuff he does....

Seriously, I don't know how he does it. Even when Stone Phillips started ad libbing, he just kept that straight face. Love him!

Personally, I miss Mr. Jellineck. I can't believe Warner Independent ditched the Strangers with Candy release!

They did? Those cowards! Oh well. Straight to DVD for Ms. Blank I guess...

Ugh, is this another television show I'll have to watch. I barely manage to catch The Daily Show as often as I'd like. When's this one on?

It should be on opposite The O'Reilly Factor. I'd love to see Colbert kick his ass in the ratings. Maybe that is their eventual plan....:evil:

It pretty much is the same show. Pompous host, unquestioned patriotism, lambasting guests... the one exception being that Colbert has a sense of humor. (And he's better looking.) :D

Who cares, as long as he allows me to stick my entire tongue in them when we finally meet (as we are destined to).

And I'm sick with sadness over the whole SWC movie thing. Apparently....the posters in the background were a problem and the distributor chickened out....afraid of lawsuits or something? I don't know. I'm still hoping for a theatrical release!

I finally caught it last night and can't say that I cared for it. It was like the problem with SNL movies. That which is funny for three minutes is not necessarily funny for 30. I'll keep watching for a while though, as I can see the interviews making or breaking individual episodes and last night's was (the Newseek editor) was just obnoxious.

It is, however, parsecs better than Adam Carolla's show, the last new thing that tested that timeslot.

What I did like (at least in the episode I caught) was it's mirroring of the O'Reilly Factor... Good stuff!

I can honestly say that I'd rather watch people picking bellybutton lint than Adam Carolla. I saw Tobias from Arrested Development on there and not even he could make the show tolerable. How the heck did that guy get on TV?

I liked it. And that's the truthiness.
