New Smilies

I like them.

I'm so glad there's a square smilie. Something about that just works for me.

:)

lashbear 01-19-2005 11:16 PM

I like them too **Evil Devil Smiley**

Mousey Girl 01-20-2005 12:12 AM

Me likey the new smilies. Many swanks!!!

Motorboat Cruiser 01-20-2005 12:18 AM

Yeah, they are quite hip. :)

By the way, how long have the little piano keyboards been over by the post count. Are they new as well, and more importantly, do they serve a function? Even if they don't, they look cool. Nothing swankier than music.

wendybeth 01-20-2005 12:21 AM

The kitty is mine. Well, NA's and mine. His name's Bexter.*

*Edited to add: I had nothing to do with his creation, I am merely swiping him because I love him.

Ghoulish Delight 01-20-2005 12:21 AM

Those ivories just appeared, thanks to my main queen. That green square was just, well, too square to show your mojo. We needed some hipper accompaniament to those bongos, dig?

wendybeth 01-20-2005 12:24 AM

Very cool ivories, man!

Here, kitty kitty...:p

Not Afraid 01-20-2005 12:44 AM

I came up with the piano keys as a way to track mojo - as in a mojo "scale". Each new level of mojo is another octave. I had originally wanted to add keys, but that concept did work without major program tweaks. Jen, who got us othe the musical thought in the first place, created the octave and here it is! Our Mojo Scale.

I've got something in mind for a Report this post icon as well.

Claire 01-20-2005 01:16 AM

I love the smilies. Thanks! :D

lashbear 01-20-2005 04:31 AM

I love the mojo scales !!! They suit a big ole Pianist like me !!!

.......I said pianist you rude buggers !

Love all the new smilies even if I can't access them .... I wish I could figure out the glitch in this darn computer :(

Not Afraid 01-20-2005 09:30 AM

UberGeek is the one to thank for the smilies. He's the best. I showed him concept drawings (and I can't draw!) and he took it from there. He's a genius!

Ironic that you actually used a smilie in that post. :D It's because the sad smiley is now the square.

As I have had my share of problems with the wysiwyg stuff (my work iMac gets unhappy sometimes) I'll list the ways to type the smilies. Just take the spaces out, MS, and you can use the smilies all you want. :)

I love how all the smilies are not traditional looking and look like they've been sketched by a lounge artist. Love them.

(No apathetic smilie, though, oh well.) :)

Again, I love the square sad smilie. (Oh and not everyone who is sad is square. Some can't help it. We all have inner-Eeyores.)

Baileykat 01-20-2005 12:53 PM

;) These are tooo cute! I have no other word for them! Cute!!!

Ok...swanky!

The way I look at it, when you feel sad, you feel like a square peg in a round hole world. :)

Well, I was lounging when I first sketched them and UberGeek was waaaay lounging when he created them on the computer, so you're right!

And, we're not done with smilies by any means.:D

Sheila 01-20-2005 03:58 PM

Tres chic, les nouveau emoticons.... ;)

I think the two kitty smilies are my favorites. They have that certain air of smartaleck-ness that's just right....
