One of the most thrilling evenings I've spent in the theatre was Ian McKellan's one man show, Acting Shakespeare. It was a fantastic experience and I've never forgotten it. Nor meeting him afterward with the dear friend I call my gay twin brother. McKellan was nothing but gracious and lovely.

Also met him wandering in the Castro later on in the run, he was just as gracious then too!
