Condolences to Capt Jack

Last night, after a long illness, the wife of our beloved Capt Jack passed away. She was 44.

I know the Captain has become solidly one of us during his recent participation on LoT and I was very sorry to hear this news. Many many many warm and loving hugs are being sent your way. Take care of yourself thru this difficult time and please use this board as a place to vent, cry or just have some fun.

My condolences to you, Capt. Jack. To lose someones so close to the heart can be so very hard to have to bear. Let your friends and family share that burden and help bring you peace in this dark time. Keep the candle of her memories burning bright in your heart and mind, and she will lead you to a place where the pain will not go, and your sorrow will slip away. All that is gone is her body, her soul lives on in you. Keep it close and the love will never leave you.

flippyshark 01-25-2006 04:54 PM

I’m so sorry Captain Jack. I can’t think of any words to say that don’t fail terribly to express my condolences. I’ll offer you my prayers and good thoughts. Take comfort in knowing that in your life at least you were one of the lucky ones to have experienced real love.

Take care,
Jeff

I cant thank you all enough for your heartfelt words.

So you all know without going into details (maybe another time) it was no surprise that it could and might happen. however that surely doesnt make it any easier a dose to take.

It wont however beat me by any stretch. To do so would be to let her down and thats simply not going to happen.
I will be looking into so grief counceling as I've seen first hand what it can do to a person without their realizing. Cant do that either.

Know she went peacefully and in no pain whatsoever.

wanna do something for me?
hold a loved one close.

always remember, **** happens. dont take for granted a chance to do so.

scaeagles 01-25-2006 09:17 PM

i read this and went and hugged my wife.

Then I went and kissed my kids (they're sleeping).

An attitude that is more than admirable, Capt.

Wow, you are one smart and strong man. Others have already expressed condolences so much more eloquently than I can, but know that you have our love to fall back on should you ever not feel so strong and smart.

I'm glad you're going to find some counseling; it should help to have someone to talk to. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I agree to never waste a chance to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Even my mother, who can't return the affection. I tell her I love her every time we talk on the phone.
