Adventures By Disney
new travel opportunities are now available from Walt Disney Travel Company in Anaheim. just rolled out are tours to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Wyoming, Paris, Italy, London, and the Canadian Rockies - all with the Disney touch.
the web site is up, but, looks like some info still needs to be loaded into the system... check it out at AdventuresByDisney.com :coffee: |
I love this concept, but man, those trips are very expensive!
|
have you planned your honeymoon yet? (i'm sure you have...what i mean is...where will your honeymoon be?)
|
We're actually planning to go to Hawaii this year-- but after checking out the offered Hawaii trips on the site, I think it's safe to say that we won't be going with a Disney tour. Between unusual dietary restrictions, and unusual pricetags, it's not really compatible with us. (Plus, we love planning to travel as much as we love travelling-- we'd want to do our own research and decide where we want to go ourselves.)

understood.;)
the tour(s) are not for every traveler. |
Is there an actual Web site at AdventureByDisney.com ?
I've tried for days and that URL does not work on any computer or Web browser I've used. Thanks. |
I just checked... AdventuresByDisney.com.
I'll go and fix the typo in the OP. |
I could really see doing this with kids. They appear to have some built-in times with separate kid/adult activities. I would also consider it for my first trip somewhere. My ideal first-time trip to another country involves some time in tour and some time on my own. I kind of like to stay in the safety of the herd until I feel I have a grasp on how not to inadvertently irritate the locals with my wacky and offensive American manerisms. Plus, I like to hit sort of the "top ten" touristy things AND do the wandering the street thing. Second time around, then I feel comfortable going it alone. Compared to other tour packages, these seem more expensive, but also potentially "nicer".

oops. sorry DD. Thanks GD. the link takes you too: http://abd.disney.go.com/abd/en_US/index |
Hmmm... The daily itenaries are, of course, well thought out and very well organized. But for me, the fun and "adventure" part of traveling is roaming around, making your own discoveries, and creating your own adventures based on personal interests.

If you have any info about the Halloween festivities while onboard, please let me know! We're trying to determine on whether to bring costumes, and if there's trick-or-treating (adults included), etc. :) |
