The "Art" of Britney Spears!

Well, now she really is the "model mom" -

The Birth of Sean Preston

Art has stepped to a new low.

Ponine 03-28-2006 01:24 PM

Thats horrifying!
Why would you create ..........something of that nature? I dont get it... I so dont get it.

mousepod 03-28-2006 01:26 PM

Reminds me of the Jeff Koons "Made In Heaven" sculpture, but not as funny. (google it. I'm not linking it here...)

innerSpaceman 03-28-2006 01:53 PM

Err, shameless self promotion?

scaeagles 03-28-2006 01:58 PM

I'm thankful there was no rear view of the statue.....

DisneyDaniel 03-28-2006 02:17 PM

The statue has a future home in the Odditorium at a Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum.

Isaac 03-28-2006 02:24 PM

Looks more like " The 'Conception' Of Sean Preston ". ;)

"Oh my god, I'm going to have puppies!" (punchline from a classic blonde joke)

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

€uroMeinke 03-28-2006 03:30 PM

I recently discovered that when we go to Boston, the hotel we are staying at has a "Britany Spears" suite - decorated by her mother. I'm hoping we can get a tour ;)

I was going to say the same exact thing. See, it's not all disagreements today...
:D

tracilicious 03-28-2006 04:03 PM

Hmmm. Let's remove Britney from the picture for a moment. My first impression, as a person that enjoys birth art, was OMG that is stunning. Then, upon closer inspection, I saw that her toes are pointed, her thighs still very thin (and with real pregnant woman hips like in the statue, that's not at all likely) and her face looks like she might stick her tongue down the bears throat at any second. So, I don't think it's good on its own merits. Put Britney into the equation and it's ludicrous.

I would think she'd be the last celebrity picked to do such a thing. She smoked while pregnant and drove on the freeway with the baby on her lap. Yes, the model mom indeed. Keep passing those good genes on.

I really want to see a rear shot of this thing.

Disneyphile 03-28-2006 04:30 PM

Any swankers going to NY soon who's willing to get a rear shot of this monstrosity so that we may all scream in unison?

€uroMeinke 03-28-2006 04:51 PM

For an additional perspective on this piece - check out thiis article ;)

BarTopDancer 03-28-2006 06:14 PM

Didn't she have a C-section?

LSPoorEeyorick 03-28-2006 06:22 PM

Chalk me up for another who wants to see the rear projection.

Not Afraid 03-28-2006 06:25 PM

In the October issue of Elle magazine, Spears said she'd prefer to have a C-section, and if that wasn't an option, "I'll be like, 'Epidural, please!' ... I don't want to go through the pain."

So, where's the giant needle in her spine?

LSPoorEeyorick 03-28-2006 06:42 PM

So I googled the Jeff Koons and I have to say that I find the puppy statues delightfully incongruous.

Disneyphile 04-27-2006 06:48 PM

Well, for those of you who were curious to see the "other" side:

I think I just threw up into my mouth a little.

Ghoulish Delight 04-27-2006 06:50 PM

You viewed it. You can't unview it!

Disneyphile 04-27-2006 06:51 PM

I had to look. :( 'Tis like the Eyes of Mara.......

CoasterMatt 04-27-2006 06:56 PM

At least the Eyes of Mara only lead to the Gates of Doom... this is far worse

Graphic reproduction of the effects of that darned rear view

blueerica 04-27-2006 07:11 PM

Yeah, there is no un-looking.

Jeez!

Not Afraid 04-27-2006 07:17 PM

Yummmm, Super Mex and Brit's Vagina.

€uroMeinke 04-27-2006 07:52 PM

OMG I didn't realize how large this statue actually is! - that's a lot of satire

Tramspotter 04-27-2006 11:56 PM

Eh seen worse

Gemini Cricket 04-28-2006 05:34 AM

^ Edna Mode finds her inner child.
:D

CoasterMatt 04-28-2006 05:48 AM

I can't believe somebody posted a still from one of my favorite films.

alphabassettgrrl 05-02-2006 01:07 PM

I was wondering how long before that view became available.
